About this listen
When Linda Gray, iconic star of Dallas, was 20 years old, a magazine editor coldly rejected her as a model, writing that perhaps one day "you might shape into something". At 38 Linda got her big break, as Larry Hagman's wife on Dallas.
To celebrate her 75th birthday, Linda is opening up about her life for the first time. She tells deeply personal stories with wit, humor, and candor and reveals how she's learned to love every day and treat herself with the kindness she bestows on friends and strangers alike. Linda shares her accumulated practical tips about maintaining a healthy lifestyle - how to strengthen and detoxify your body, liberate your mind, and uplift your soul.

Story
Before Liz Lemon, before Weekend Update, before Sarah Palin, Tina Fey was just a young girl with a dream: A recurring stress dream that she was being chased through a local airport by her middle-school gym teacher. She also had a dream that one day she would be a comedian on TV. She has seen both these dreams come true. At last, Tina Fey's story can be told. From her youthful days as a vicious nerd to her tour of duty on Saturday Night Live. Tina Fey reveals all, and proves what we've always suspected: You're no one until someone calls you bossy.

Enjoyable
I loved Linda Gray on Dallas, so I was interested in reading her story. Before buying this book I read the reviews which were mixed. It seems like a lot of folks wanted a book about Dallas, which this book is not. The book is about a life. Linda Gray’s life. I found it motivational and inspirational.

Honest, classy, engaging! If you're looking for lots of dirt on lots of celebrities, this is not the book for you. It is a sincere, honest, and direct story of Linda Gray's life. For women over 50, two 100, you will admire her.

Simply Sue Ellen...and absolute perfection.
I am a BIG fan of Linda Gray...so it is no surprise that I thoroughly enjoyed this listen. What I did find surprising was the candor and honesty that Linda discusses her life journey. She speaks honestly about her upbringing, marriage and desire to be an actress in her 30s. This book is filled with heartwarming stories, funny Dallas tales and important lessons she has learned. If you are fan of Dallas...or the beautiful actress who played Sue Ellen...listen to this book.
