Awesome Story
What did you love best about The Ritual?
I love that the author centered this story on magic and spirituality.
What was one of the most memorable moments of The Ritual?
For some reason the foo dogs always come to mind. After reading this book, I bought two foo dogs that I put at my front door.
Which character – as performed by Michelle Auriana Simmons – was your favorite?
Madame Motarye. I know I spelled that wrong, but the actress did a great job with her.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
When Paradise kept doing disrespectful things to herself, it moved me to want to slap her in the face.
Any additional comments?
This book was like a roller coaster that makes you happy at one point intrigued at one point, upset at one point, frightened at some points, and joyful at some point. I can't wait for part two.

A Good story destroyed by adverbs
I got this story via audiobook boom and this is my voluntary review. I loved the premise of the story, all of the characters, and descriptions of the action. The dialogue pulled me out of the story every time. Example "Shut up!" he said militarily. What the? I love grandma and boy did the author get those angry police officers right. But I missed so much because those adverbs were inside of every scene and just pulled me away from the story. Oh well.
