About this listen
The Refractive Thinker® series provides doctoral scholars with a collaborative opportunity to promote and publish their work in an award winning peer-reviewed publication, which meets the university standard. Our goal is to provide an affordable outlet for scholars that supports the tremendous need for dynamic dialogue and innovation while providing additional credibility and recognition for each contributing author.
Join Foreword writer Jordan Wilson and esteemed doctoral scholars from around the globe as they present their research and discuss the innovative disruption of Artificial Intelligence (AI). Scholars share not only current trends and applications of this emerging technology, but also functional and moral concerns as the use of AI spreads to all facets of the personal and
business landscape. Come join us! This volume will not only inform readers of the current state of affairs, but also offer ideas that merit further consideration as AI continues to evolve into a societal tool that will continue to shape the conversation of future success in business around the world.

CHAPTER 2
Synergy of Human + Artificial Intelligence:
Delphi and the Genius of Crowds
Dr. Elmer Hall & Dr. Cheryl Lentz
This chapter is designed to be a regenerative dynamic article, combining current human knowledge from Wikipedia with current artificial intelligence (AI). Readers are provided with queries, or prompts, that they can enter into their own Generative AI engine (GAI), obtaining current results. Readers are directed to pages in Wikipedia; Wikipedia articles are continuously updated (mostly by humans) and have current general information available on most topics.
Writers of this article chose to include GAI prompts throughout as well as the GAI generated chat results in many cases. An extensive example of Delphi research related to local homelessness is GAI created on www.DelphiPlan.com. While too voluminous for this article, this research includes large sections of GAI generated content. Wikipedia by Wikipedia Foundation (WF). Hall (2010) argues that Wikipedia is one of the greatest crowdsourcing successes that demonstrates the genius of crowds and is a critical player in current and future information aggregation (WF: Wikipedia).
Appendixes to this article include GAI prompts on specific topics for the reader to regenerate the appendix in real time. Appendix A shows the prompts that would create a book outline that generally parallels this article. Appendix B shows prompts and some results related to GAI in academic research and originality. Appendix C creates a regenerative book on sustainability with each topic linking to current / dynamic Wikipedia pages. Appendix D provides GAI prompts related to Delphi Method research and possible enhancements using GAI. Appendix E provides prompts and generates tables for the GAI tools from major companies.
In the Delphi Primer, Hall (2009b) described the applications of Delphi research and why it can be used to leverage groups and human expertise in dissertations or businesses research where other methods cannot. In 2010, Hall illustrated the Delphi Method and the genius of groups and crowds, especially within Wikipedia. Bridging the gap between using groups / experts with generative AI is the overall topic of this Human + Artificial Intelligence (H + AI) article.
