Mooses with Bazookas: And Other Stories Children Should Never Read is a fun collection of stories. It’s exactly like The Count of Monte Cristo apart from the many differences. Our lawyers have instructed us to warn you that listening to it may directly cause you to come down with every single disease you are worried about contracting. On the plus side, our nation’s beloved and heroic critics have had their say.

Amy Carmichael stood on the deck of the steamer, waving good-bye once again to her old friend Robert Wilson. How could she have known she would never see him or the British Isles again? Amy was certain God had called her to India. Indeed! India would be home for the rest of her life. Amy's life was marked by a simple, determined obedience to God, regardless of circumstances. Her story and legacy are stunning reminders of the impact of one person who will fear God and nothing else.

Hardly a day passes without Trille and Lena inventing some kind of adventure that often ends in trouble. Whether it's coaxing a cow onto a boat or tobogganing down the steepest and iciest hill with a chicken, there is always a thrill - and sometimes an injury - to be had. Trille loves to share everything with Lena, even Auntie Granny's waffles, which make everything just perfect. But when Lena has to move away, and Auntie Granny leaves the world, it sometimes seems nothing will ever be right again.

I loved the biblical principles. They are clear, but not in-your-face all preachy-like.
The Narrator speaks in a voice for Lily that sounds more like a whiny, introverted 7 year old than our courageous heroine of previous books. Every voice sounds clipped and rapid. Any surprise does not sound genuine. Good actors don’t make good narrators. If this were a full cast recording and the narrator was simply the narrator and NOT any other characters, it would be great! HOWEVER- this is an amazing book by an amazing author. Read this, even if you get it from the hard copy from the library instead of this audio book.
