More Confident After Reading
I am now more confident to serve as a CEO after reading this book. I was skeptical to purchase a book with few ratings, but I trusted the author’s background provided him with a network and training that should make this be worth the purchase. I am glad I trusted my instincts, I was pleasantly surprised and impressed with how much I enjoyed this book. Very practical and several summaries of similar leadership transition advice, balanced with examples and recommendations specifically for CEOs.

Extremely relevant and extremely well-made.
I have just officially started my CEO journey on my 40th birthday (Life begins at 40) and I needed to learn some more about the art and science of being a CEO. I decided to pick this one up because it was more recent and it had a lot of great reviews. This book is extremely relevant. It tells you exactly what you need to hear. I thought "New CEO" meant "Today's CEO." But with the title they are actually referring to the "Replacement CEO." And that brings me to the only flaw in the book. This book is geared towards "successor CEOs," not founders. If you're starting a company from the ground up and trying to make it to the top (like I am) if you're a sole proprietor moving up the ranks one step at a time, this book won't be as helpful to you, because you don't have the instant fame and instant clout that comes with just taking over a billion-dollar business, with a million-dollar compensation package. In that sense, this wasn't the right book for me, but valuable information nonetheless.
