About this listen
A malicious letterA tragic deathA village filled with suspects
Nothing ever happens in the sleepy village of Lymstock.
Until letters accusing the villagers of unspeakable acts start to appear.
They try to dismiss them as a cruel hoax, but then one of the recipients is found dead. The letter next to her body reads simply, ‘I can’t go on’.
As fear spreads among the villagers, Jane Marple must uncover who is writing these letters – before anyone else is hurt.

An early Christie
And not a lot of Miss M, though she does show up with her knitting.
I did find myself wondering 'who did it?' when my main suspect was ruled out, only to be reinstated later.
Richard E Grant did read quite nicely thank you. A few fluffs at times though that really did not detract very much, More perhaps that a real live person was reading me a story and that is always a treat.
All up a lovely Christie I had never read before and enjoyed very much.

Reduced the chore of painting.
Would you consider the audio edition of The Moving Finger to be better than the print version?
Can't say - haven't read the print version.
Any additional comments?
I really loved listening to this early Agatha Christie book. MIss Marple doesn't make an entry until well into the story. The identity of the killer, as always isn't easy to pick, but Miss Marple does it of course. Was a good story set in an English village (where else), very easy to listen to and perfectly narrated at a perfect pace. I hate painting skirting boards and woodwork but this took my mind off the job and before I knew it it was done!
