About this listen
To those of you who believe in the circle of life, having CP is like building A mosaic with small delicate puzzle pieces.
The music of CP is less about having CP, but dealing with building a beautiful mosaic of life. A higher power has gifted me - I just have to build the pieces on top of the foundation of CP, just like a beautiful mosaic, putting it together piece by piece. That's what dealing with CP is like. Some days you shatter, others you work 100%, but all in all, you make a beautiful mosaic.

An inspiring read
A short and wonderful read of an individual that has found a way to overcome the obstacles in her life.
The Narrator did a good job with the material.

Show me, don't tell me
This quick listen was more of an introduction to a bright talented woman with Cerebral Palsy, CP, than it was a story or compilation of descriptive experiences that one living with CP might experience. I was looking forward to gaining some level of empathy and understanding by hearing some of the stories about the author's struggles and triumphs that would form this mosaic as was described in the description of the audio book. Some were briefly mentioned in more of a headline fashion without the accompanying substance. It felt to be a diary of thoughts and goals and what their accomplishment would mean to her. She promotes her blog a few times and perhaps this is where those gems are found, but they were not told here. She states that she wants to move toward audio in her goals in journalism because people are migrating toward listening instead of reading to accommodate our busy modern lives. So must I go to her blog to read about any piece that makes up the mosaic of CP?
I realize the author has, and is experiencing triumph over the challenges that CP brings. But when one picks up an audio book to listen about someone or what they have to say, you expect them to be extraordinary, that's the price of admission. I then expect the evidence to unfold that proves why this person is extraordinary by allowing me to experience through their words a journey they finished that led them through some change or triumph. That was not found here.
I was given this review copy of this audio book at my request free of charge in exchange for this honest and unbiased review.

The author really shines!!
What a truly wonderful message this author conveys. I love the fact that she doesn't let her disability stop her from living her best life and pursuing her dreams. Not only is she educating people about CP, she's giving hope and inspiration to others that might otherwise feel hopeless. What a beautiful gift she's giving to the world just by being herself. The narrator really captures the emotion & senserity of the material. I was given a free copy of this book at my request and have voluntarily decided to leave this review.

Finding Out about Cerebral Palsy
Part biography, part motivational treatise, The Mosaic Of CP is a very short but well written book about living with CP by a young author, teacher and podcaster by the name of Win Charles who has lived with CP all her life but had definitely not let it slow her down. The book is short on details about the disease, but that wasn't really Charles's subject choice for this book.
The book is well read by Evan Schmitt, although the choice of a male reader for a book that is written in the author's own voice was sometimes a bit disorienting.
Worth your time, both as a primer on helping and relating to people with long term, degenerative diseases and as a motivational tool for anyone who might be inclined to believe they can't do something because ...
