A captivating short story full of mystique and intrigue
The Memory Remains is a captivating short story full of mystique and intrigue. The narrator, Tom Jordan does an amazing job whisking you away into a far-away place in a far-away time. I found the story to be thoroughly entertaining with a plot twist that surprised me. I highly recommend this story.

Very Different
The Memory Remains was a very different book than what I've listened to from Justin, so far - good, but different. It transported me to a different time and place. Tom Jordan, the narrator, really brought the story to life. It was the perfect book to listen to on this rainy night! Thanks Justin and Tom - another great book that I'll listen to again and share with others.

A wicked catch 22
After killing his evil predecessor, the new king and his village celebrate. Until Astrid comes down from the mountain to make him a cryptic offer. Unable to forget her, the king sneaks away to meet Astrid while the villagers sleep. Although it's unclear who this mysterious mountain seductress is, the choice she offers is as unambiguous as it is destructive. What is a virtuous king to do?
The Memory Remains is different from this author's other stories and I'm glad to see him expanding. Still present though is his economy of story telling, visually engaging setting, and moral complexity.
Kudos also to the Narrator. He adopts a different voice than usual which gives the in-story narrator his own personality and makes The Memory Remains even more immersive.
