Welcome back to Charybdis Station and the crew of the Blue Solace in the fourth book in the series.
Sebastian Dolarnio has a past. His parents sold him into indentured servitude when he was 17 which led him to enforced prostitution. Fortunately, with the help of some very good friends, he and his daughter are safe and have a home - a beautiful, accepting place with more family than he ever dreamed of having. Then there's his mate. A handsome, wonderful man calls Sebastian "mate", and Sebastian knows he doesn't deserve him. He has to find a way to be worthy of his new home and his new mate. A strange Crellic book provides him with the answer to his problems, but it comes with complications of its own.
Alois has been dreaming of finding his life mate since he was a kid. He knows that Sebastian is a dream come true, but how can he convince his mate of that and also fight the baggage he carries from his own past? When Sebastian begins a strange, wonderful journey, Alois knows that he has to be the loving and supportive mate that Sebastian deserves.
The two men build a life together and learn to love one another, but the galaxy is in turmoil, and Charybdis Station is in the middle of it all.
Author's Note: This is a male-male love story with no angst and no cheating, just a HEA. There is lots of action, some sex, male pregnancy, and a few potty mouths involved in the story. I love this series and what a great message
I could go on and wax poetic about writing and characters and MM romance and sci-fi romance and mpreg but even if that is or isn't your thing, what I have found above all the great story telling in these books is acceptance. The author doesn't just make the MM romance accepting but the normal within whatever your society is. They also show how if you don't have a family or friends, you find them. You cobble together your tribe and the more open minded you are, the more accepting you are, the more you grow your heart and only happiness will follow. There will be people who don't approve but the people who do will completely outweigh those that don't. And all you have to do is find that tribe, those people that will love and protect you then wrap them around you as your shield against the haters and let love win. Thank you to the author. These stories and this huge family are soooooo needed right now ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜

good one!
I've said before that I love this series despite all the demon spawn... I mean kids present in it, and I still stand by that. It's so refreshing to see how Alois and Sebastian's mating plays out. The insta attraction is there but the forced separation makes the relationship development so much more real.
I also love how they begin to bring back a little of the culture of a long dead race. even if it's just a tiny bit. As an archaeology and history nut it would be a dream come true to be able to do this with some of earth's ancient populations.

A Future Together
This is Sebastian and Alois' story and the fourth book in the series. I recommend reading/listening in order as each book continues a main storyline that runs throughout the series.
Sebastian's life was in a bad place when he was rescued by the Blue Solace. His parents had sold him to pay their debts and his owner abused him. Sebastian and Alois have a connection from the moment they meet but Sebastian needs to get to know Alois before he can be more than friends. When Alois is sent on a mission to fight the Concord it gives the couple the time and space they need to form a deeper connection.
Alois has been searching for his mate and when he meets Sebastian he thinks he is the one. He won't know until they kiss but after getting to know Sebastian he decides he wants Sebastian as his own no matter what.
Sebastian has been helping translate old texts to help in the fight against the Queen and her Elements. His reputation as a go to translator has spread beyond Charybdis Station. He also has been studying a book about shamanism that might change his life in ways he never imagined.
Alois, Sebastian and Death/Dr. Morrick search for ways to free Fire from the Queen. Fire has always been a free spirit and unlike the other Elements in that he doesn't take joy in hurting others.Their journey leads them to some revelations about themselves and some reunions as well.
I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a good romance. It has action and adventure with some fluff thrown in to make you smile. And if you enjoy catching up with past characters and seeing the continuation of their stories and where they are now you will especially love this series.

love this series
loved reading but love listening even more- glad I figured out how to slow the narrator down ;) really good universe to visit. the world and characters and family are just wonderful!

Great Addition.
Now this one has been one I have been waiting for. Sebastian and Alois wasn't an instant love especially with Sebastian's past. So this one makes me happy to see their journey to this point. Conner Brown does another great job bring this story to life. I really like how he does the voices and it just pull me more into the story. Can't wait to hear the next one.
