About this listen
Abraham never played an away game quite like this.
Having battled and defeated every adversary in his path, Abraham and the Henchmen’s bond grows stronger when a darker fate intervenes. The King demands satisfaction. The quest to complete the Crown of Stones is far from over. The eager king thrusts another mysterious Henchmen into the group, a wizard with god-like powers, but can he be trusted?
As the Henchmen resume their quest to acquire the artifacts that can save the kingdom and send Abraham back home, the enemies gain more modern firepower. Abraham must track down another otherworlder, the horned halfling Big Apple, and find the answers he seeks about the broader conspiracy.
With his consciousness drifting between home and Titanuus, he starts to unravel who controls the portals that will lead him back home. That knowledge places his friends in danger and Abraham must learn to fight his enemies in both worlds.
Now, the fate of two worlds lies in the hands of a fallen sport hero who must redeem himself and find the way home.

It has been thousands of years since beast-kind were united under one banner. The empire encompasses most of the known world, driving out or enslaving the lesser races without mercy. In a state of constant war and conquest, they have perfected the art of battle. For commoner wolf-kind Valian, being accepted and trained in a noble house's army was a dream come true. Without wealth or a family, it was his best shot at attaining honor and glory. Until fate intervened. When Valian discovers he's descended from an ancient and long-thought-extinct line, everything changes.

Story
Monsters and beasts roamed the earth and were slain by soldiers and adventurers who were, in turn, killed by stronger threats. Heroes and villains created new epics and were forgotten when their successors appeared. This was the way of the Infinite World. Summoned into this chaotic place, a young boy with no name and no past must learn to survive. Bound to a master who doesn't care whether he lives or dies, he must become stronger. The question is: how?

Not happy or sad
I like this story overall it has kept me at the edge of my seat and wanting more to where are you binge listened to all four books so far and after listening to this book I am kinda disappointed I feel that this book should have never been a book on it’s own it should have been part of book 5 or 3 but Here’s hoping that the story takes off again cause I really don’t want it to end with a SPLAT !!!

Henchmen Four Makes Me Want More.
This is the fourth installment of the henchmen series, The King’s Conjurer, by Craig Halloran, and won’t make much sense without reading the rest of the series.
In this book, Abraham is still flitting between his and Ruger’s body, though this book takes place much more in the present, near now world, than earlier books.
Henchmen IV starts to delve into the meaning of why he’s been traveling from his to Ruger’s body, though it is clear more answers are yet to come. This book also introduces Facility 117, which has been tracking Abrahams travels from now, to Titanuus.
Abraham is dragged more into the problems of Titanuus, and the struggle between good and evil. The King’s Conjurer also includes the Elders, who are mysterious godlike entities, who have clearly been involved in Titanuus affairs. The Elderlings serve these entities, for either good or ill, and most of their motives are unclear, and remain to be revealed.
The world that Halloran has created is detailed and well fleshed out, and though this book leaves more questions than answers, it is clear the conclusion will be a spectacular event.
The King’s Conjurer includes characters from Halloran’s Smoke series, and though it isn’t necessary to read the Smoke books, before reading this, it does help you understand the character better, when they are introduced.
I have thoroughly enjoyed this series and anticipate the conclusion. The King’s Henchmen is reminiscent, to me, of playing table top role playing games. It makes me feel like I am journeying with my adventuring companions, through the rich world of Titanuus. I would recommend this book, and the whole series, to those who enjoy sword and sorcery games.
I am really picky about the quality of voice performer I will listen to. That being said, Alexander Cendese hits all my requirements, He reads at a good speed, is clear and articulates, while still adding flavor to each character that is unique, and, yet, not comically overdone. A+

High-Strung
Abraham is always complaining. "I must be insane, this cant be real." It is pissing me off.
I needed to stop listening 4 times because Abraham keeps making the dumbest decisions. He has no commitment, his whims sway with the wind. He changes his mind on a dime. The battles with the henchmen are always "life or death" but they manage to scrap by the skin of their teeth.
The second book was the best with the Phoenix, the eggs, and the antagonists. It should have ended. There is no true bad guy anymore. It is more like man vs self and it is just infuriating.
I am getting off here. I recommend you stop after book 2. 3 is decent but isnt necessarily worth it. 4 is just a mess for me. I will let you decide for yourself though. Ciao.
