About this listen

When you join a police department in a big city, you have been handed a ticket to the greatest show on earth. The Jagged Blue Line is the memoirs of Graham Dunne, whose Law Enforcement career spanned 27 years. From 8 years on SWAT, as both a sniper and operator, to working patrol in the hood, Graham was in the rare breed of crime fighters who fearlessly hunt the worst of the worst.
The Jagged Blue Line is the highlights and lowlights of his career. From lawsuits to shootings, fights and high speed car chases, countless death investigations and sexual deviants, Graham’s career was filled with incredible stories that are stranger than fiction.
Many of the stories are exciting, others are tragic. Some stories are crazy, and some are just funny. Take a look into the outrageous world of police work from the perspective of a street cop.

This is a great book giving the Insight of a Marine that became a sheriff and then transitioned to become a cop and did that well for over 20 years. He has a great voice on here almost sounds like Batman is giving you his account for each time. He took the shift. Definitely someone who is focused on community and never gave up. He said the best example, so that those that came in to be police under his training carry the baton and they also understood that this is a duty and not a job. This will give you much-needed insight and respect because as there are some bad apples, there are a lot of good out there, setting these example and caring the standard every single day even when they are not receiving the appropriate credit from the organizations they work for in law enforcement or from the city or every people in the city. This will allow other officers to see that there’s light at the end and that they are still respected no matter what

The Book Batman would write after he retired.

It's amazing to hear the real life experiences of a law enforcement officer.
It's also amazing, and sad to hear about the decline of "leadership" within the police department.

This book is fantastic. I have a hard cover copy, and this audio book. While I enjoyed the hard copy, there is definitely something to be said about hearing graham explain these stories the way he intended them, vs the way that I read them. It gives a rare, unfiltered view of what it is like to be a Police Officer, and I am thankful that he decided to share them with us. 10/10

Great stories--countless learning points. Perhaps one-too-many command staff bashing comments? Even if all true.

A book that greatly reflects its title

Hey Graham, Thank you Sir for writing your book and for your work in policing. I enjoyed listening, as I am not a big reader. You and I worked the greatest show on earth at the same time, just in different cities. Unfortunately, my career, retirement, and eventually life were cut short from injuries. You would understand my book, It Can't Be That Bad. I believe you sharing your story will help some citizens understand officers. Best of Health to you, Mike Bizzell
