Needed a good sound engineer
At times it was hard to hear the reader, and he was a bit monotone.

Timeless story with great narration
I listened to "The Most Dangerous Game" and liked the narrator so found "The Island of Dr. Moreau" read by the same narrator.
I read the book long ago. It is a great story read well...

Long time favorite
Would you listen to The Island of Dr. Moreau [Classic Tales Edition] again? Why?
I've read this many time but this is the first audio that does the story justice. Harrison's voice and tone are perfect for this book. A personal favorite, but not much action. Harrison tells the story the way I hear it in my mind when I read the text.
Which scene was your favorite?
The first chapter, the explanation of what is about to occur.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
No. This is a tale to be enjoyed in small segments.

Ethical Masterpiece By Wells
Most everyone knows this story depicting the monstrosities of Dr. Moreau. Heavily influenced by the politics of the day, it brings up profound ethical issues. A realistic horror story that was ahead of its time. The production is an older one. It still holds up, but you may want a more current production. If you’ve gotten into Wells, you have to put this story on your reading list.

Worth checking out
I didnt like it a ton at first, but it builds pretty quickly and turned into a pretty enjoyable read. I originally only knew this story from the 90s film, but definitely think this is a vastly superior version.

Blah be dah bloo
Awful narration ruins an otherwise decent story. The grunting speak of characters is maddening. Can’t listen anymore. Waste $$$
