About this listen
Devil's Backbone: The Invisible Walls of Seven Mile is a full-cast audio production from the team at Kaiser & Tilly Publishing. Riveting sound effects, original music, and incredible acting by our full cast will transport you to the twisted town of Seven Mile, a small town located along the banks of California's winding Russian River, where the fishing is great and the wickedness is greater.
A demonic curse is secretly unleashed upon Seven Mile after an evil devil cult leader moves his flock from Indiana to the tiny little town to hold an extraordinary and fascinating "church service". All in attendance become stricken with an evil affliction that leads to a brutal murder, a disgraceful prank, and the obsession with a game—setting off events that divide this once peaceful town and disrupt the lives of two generations.
The Great Seven Mile Divide, as it comes to be known, splits the town into two parts--each separated by the cool current of the Russian River and kept apart by their boundless hatred for one another. On one side of the river live the River Rats, and on the other, the Blue Cats. Anyone who dares to cross the lonely Seven Mile Bridge to the other side suffers harsh and brutal punishment for their betrayal.
Can the children of Seven Mile, who strive for peace, finally reunite the town? Or will their possessed parents, who are hell-bent on keeping Seven Mile divided, continue their torturous and tormenting ways?
Narrated by Lisa Caudill.
Starring Darrell Calk Jr., Alyssa Janeway, Lei Anand, Brandon Leith, James Presley, David Kilpatrick, Jeremy Beckner, Jerry Lee Burgess, Bob Cole, Christy Hartranft, Roger Potts, Tyler Burgess, Jared Leith, Logan Thayer, Bryan Caudill, Lani Franks, Lisa Caudill, J.C. For nearly two decades, Jamie Warren has been running from darkness. He's haunted by a traumatic childhood and the guilt at having disappeared from his disabled brother's life. What started as a flu outbreak on a military base proves deadlier than Ebola. Sympatico Syndrome is unlike anything the world has ever seen. Victims' behavior is changing to accommodate the rapid spread of the virus. Former Navy epidemiologist Cole Evans is well aware of the rare, infectious diseases the military studies. He also knows the government's stance on sharing information with the public, so if the media has already learned about the disease, then it's too late to contain the outbreak.

Wild ride from start to finish!
Full disclaimer: this story is NOT for the faint of heart.
And it. Is. AWESOME.
It’s an intense ride from beginning to end and is full of crudeness, profanity and all out weirdness. The characters names and lines are amusing and the voice actors really bring out their unique personalities. I really appreciated the full cast and found myself trying to listen to bits during my commute or in between classes.
I resisted audiobooks for a long time but now because of the story and production quality from Devils Backbone, I’m hooked on audible books. Can’t wait for the next volume!

An Audible Masterpiece!
This book screwed my head up. It’s like South Park meets Tarantino. Each chapter pushed me to the next. If all audiobooks were more like the production of this one. I would gladly go back to listening to audiobooks again.
The music, the sound effects, and the different characters really separate this from any other audio book I’ve ever purchased. Once I started I couldn’t stop. Trust me you will not be disappointed!

What a story and production
Let me tell you how much of a thrill ride this book is. From start to finish you’re biting your nails and anxious for what happens next. George Caudill (author) created a story that will be remembered for years to come. 10/10 experience with great sound editing. Give it a read you won’t regret it.

An Audible adventure that you won’t forget
I am almost finished with my third time through listening to this masterpiece and each time I love it more and more. I have been incensed by the evil that is done to the children of Seven Mile and have cheered as they rain down their revenge on their oppressors. I have cried at the beautiful love story that has been so artfully intertwined into the chaos that abounds. I have laughed at the many one liners that offer just enough comedic relief from the intensity of the story. The music has been masterfully created and draws the listener further and further into the story, even creating its own story during the final climax of the book. The author has taken the premise of good vs evil and written it in such a completely original way that it just keeps you coming back for more. I highly recommend this to anyone who wants to go on the Audible adventure of their life. I promise, you will not regret, nor forget it.

Don't miss listening to this outstanding book!
I downloaded this book on a friends recommendation and once I started listening I was hooked. I listened to it to and from work and at home because I couldn't wait to hear what happened next! I finished it in a few days and I must say it was excellent. I love Stephen King and George Caudill could take his place! Lisa is an awesome narrator, which matters a great deal in audio books! All the characters were so believable that I could visualize them and the scenes came to life in my imagination. Some of which I need to forget!
This would be an exciting and excellent book here at winter time!! You will not regret it. George Caudill is an up and coming best selling author!

Phenomenal story!! You have to listen, read this!
What can I say but phenomenal! This story is so well written that I could visualize every piece being told. Then you have the outstanding job of the entire cast making me jump, my heart pound, cussing at some characters for their ways. Their passion that they told the story in made me feel I was in Seven Mile. Everyone must listen, read this story as it will leave you breathless!!

Dang... this is awesome 👌
This book/audio book is a real rollercoaster of craziness in the best way. Don't get me wrong, the book is amazing. ...But the audiobook is truly where it's at. the production is outstanding. The voice actors did an amazing job in keeping you in the story and bringing life to these characters. This story will keep you enthralled, laughing and sometimes scared. Not real sure how this author comes up with all this craziness. But I love it. So make sure to pack a parachute and strap yourself in cuz this is a crazy ride!

A Saga So Wrong in all the Right Ways!
Ive never heard a book like this. What a wild ride! I would say it’s edgy but this book dances over the edge into tales of danger, sexual debauchery and deviance. The author George Caudill pulls no punches as he weaves a saga depicting all the carnal hedonistic desires and compulsions that is the human condition. The often wicked, defiant, raw unedited thoughts that many of us have George sets loose in this cast of characters unlike anything you’ve ever heard. Part satire, comedy and out right graphic violence all your emotions will be stirred as the story plays on up the age old passion for the game of football ,which compels the colorful characters in the story to acts of fanaticism that takes on a passion of biblical proportions. Expertly woven into the storyline is the traditional good versus evil trope set against the background of a tiny town called Seven Mile. The extremely diverse cast take you on a provocative journey combined with incredible music score and sound effects that bring an element of realism and drama to the theater of the mind. It one of those productions that draws you in and becomes binge-worthy.
