 Sarah, a young Brazilian, descendant of gypsies from a clan in Spain, was promised in marriage, since she was born, to her cousin Aaron. Spanish gypsy, handsome, rich, ten years older, conservative of traditions and future Baron (Chief of the Clan).

Living here in Brazil, just her mother and her, like an ordinary eighteen year old girl. She thought that such commitment would never come true. Since her gypsy father had died when she was ten, her cousin never sought her out and both her mother and she were not in favor of that arranged marriage in the middle of the twentieth century. Until Sarah sees her life change, when her mother suddenly passes away, leaving her alone, without a job and close relatives. So, she decides to write to her Spanish relatives. Hoping to start a new life in Spain, work, go to college. Deep down I thought no one would answer the letter.

However, it was with astonishment that she saw her uncle Vladimir, her father's older brother, arrive by surprise in São Paulo to take her to Spain. An elderly lord, respected in the clan, member of the Kris Romani Council. However, he didn't just come, looking for her as an uncle to help start life over in a country with more opportunities, but took her to marry. Honoring the word, something very important in gypsy culture. According to his uncle, Aaron, he was now the Baro, official head of the clan, and had sent for his bride. For the time had come for her to become his wife and join his people.
