Decades ago, the Visitors descended on Earth. They claimed to bring peace and prosperity. Their real goal was the total subjugation of humankind. But humanity did not give up its only home without a fight.
After a devastating war, the Visitors were driven back to Mars. Their millions of willing human collaborators were left behind. The task of hunting down these former alien collaborators and bringing them to justice falls to Federal Recovery Agents like Nathan Foster.
Now, Nathan Foster is tasked with bringing to justice Emmogene Anderson. As a teenager, Emmogene was experimented on by the Visitors and implated with a device that allows her to control other people. With her is her obsessive ex-lover, who was also a former commando of the Visitors' forces. It's an easy enough job—but Emmogene has been implanted with something else, something much more important.
Nathan and Ben must decide what is right in a largely lawless world-and the fate of the planet hangs in the balance.

Amazing book!
Mike once again writes and amazing book, the characters are awesome, the villans are terrible! Most importantly the love of revolvers shows through again!

Great variation on the alien invasion theme
Interesting, likeable and believable characters. Semi-post apocalyptic story of a bounty hunter and his team tracking down collaborators after humans defeat the alien occupiers. Story takes an unexpected twist.

impeccable writing and story
A very gripping story that grabs hold of you and doesn't let go until the very end. Master crafted plot and pacing with very empathetic characters. loved it.

Fun from beginning to end!
I really enjoyed this story! It was a really enjoyable listen. The narrator did a great job and the author told a great story. I would love to see a sequel.

A good sci-fi western
This is the kind of awesome book you only find once in a while. A western novel with sci-fi trappings this book will grab your attention and hold on to it.

Excellent post-alien war vision of SW USA; real characters and scenes
nice homage to L. Neil Smith's <The Probabilty Broach in the lead character's. 41 Magnum revolver.
