About this listen
The Immortal is gaining strength, and preparing for war.
Truths are revealed and sacrifices made.
Two souls ripped from their world, lost. Raif and Ash must face their own demons in order to face what is coming.
In the aftermath of the events on Avalon, Sofia takes refuge and tries to piece together what occurred and an uneasy alliance is formed with the man who tried to kill her and the one who came to rescue her.
One survivor finds refuge in an unlikely place and may well hold the key to raising a force strong enough to take on the threat of the brotherhood and even the Immortal itself.
Who will be the first to piece it all together and can they face up to the growing strength the Immortal poses to all living things across this universe?

Story
The Galahad, a faster-than-light spacecraft, carries 50 scientists and engineers on a mission to prepare Kepler 452b, Earth's nearest habitable neighbor at 1400 light years away. With Earth no longer habitable and the Mars colony slowly failing, they are humanity's best hope. After 10 years in a failed cryogenic bed - body asleep, mind awake - William Chanokh's torture comes to an end as the fog clears, the hatch opens, and his friend and fellow hacker, Tom, greets him...by stabbing a screwdriver into his heart. This is the first time William dies.

Story
On the planet Tython, the ancient Je’daii order was founded. And at the feet of its wise Masters, Lanoree Brock learned the mysteries and methods of the Force - and found her calling as one of its most powerful disciples. But as strongly as the Force flowed within Lanoree and her parents, it remained absent in her brother, who grew to despise and shun the Je’daii, and whose training in its ancient ways ended in tragedy. Now, from her solitary life as a Ranger keeping order across the galaxy, Lanoree has been summoned by the Je’daii Council on a matter of utmost urgency.

When the world was young, and its name was Faerie, the power of magic ruled - and the Elfstones warded the race of Elves and their lands, keeping evil at bay. But when an Elven girl fell hopelessly in love with a Darkling boy of the Void, he carried away more than her heart. Thousands of years later, tumultuous times are upon the world now known as the Four Lands. Users of magic are in conflict with proponents of science. Penumbra, a haphazard city of outcasts, rebels, and malcontents, has floated around a dead planet in a backwater system for longer than living memory can recall. Its towers abandoned starships melded to an ancient, mysterious core, Penumbra is the last remnant of chaotic individualism in a galaxy where conformity to the will of the all-powerful Galactic Council is paramount.

The Fallen
The Immortalis Series, Book 2
By: G M Sherwin
Narrated by: Kenneth Bryant
This is an Audible book I requested and the review is voluntary. I had a hard time following some of this at times but caught up near the end. The Immortals are growing in strength. I didn't find the world building like I would have liked. It was hard to know what was around sometimes. The narration was good.
I do plan to read a different book in another of this author's series to see if I like it better.
