This is a very interesting story with an intriguing plot line..unfortunately the virtual narration ruins it! my advice? buy the book, but DO NOT try to listen, even though it was a free title, it wasn’t worth the time it took to add to my collection

Worst narration ever!!

The Factory is a fast-paced well-told suspense novel set in current times in the Midwest. Ryan Alexander once again hooked us in with his gift for bringing his characters to life, both good and bad (very, very bad). Thanks to the alternating narrators’ points of view, we hear what drives each person to do what they do. The descriptions and dialogue are spot-on. The author’s attention to detail help the reader visualize everything.

The Factory (think of a conveyor belt of women as merchandise) also boldly and bluntly tells the behind-the-scenes story of how ordinary women are “manufactured” into unwilling sex workers. Whether they are kidnapped or homeless, girls and women are beaten, brutally tortured, starved or, most commonly, drugged into submitting to the “world’s oldest trade,”

The Factory was unlike anything I have ever read and yes it was a tough read at different points, but Ryan Alexander fearlessly tackled the taboo topic within an action-packed plot.

Up by The age-old question — what would you do if your daughter (mother, sister, cousin, friend) was raped? — was definitively answered here.

Difficult topic wrapped in a spellbinder
