About this listen
The survival of the last living dragons rests with me and my misfit friends. So... yeah. No pressure. Mind you, this whole thing would be easier if two of our number weren’t hell-bent on killing each other. Rayth and Nyx have both been hiding secrets for a very long time, but now they face a choice. Let go of their ugly pasts, or watch the future burn to the ground.
We won’t be able to hide five hungry, growing dragons in the mountains forever. As soon as someone catches sight of them, every soldier in Utrea will be after us. And there’s no way we can fight for our dragons’ survival when we’re this busy fighting among ourselves. I’ve always been the queen of questionable life choices, but falling for four proud, stubborn, damaged men at the same time is a new benchmark even for me. What we’re building with the dragons - and each other - could be amazing beyond belief. It could also end in tragedy beyond measure.
The Dragon Mistress, by USA Today best seller R. A. Steffan, is a medium-burn fantasy romance series where the heroine doesn’t have to choose one person at the end. It is part of the Eburosi Chronicles, along with The Horse Mistress and The Lion Mistress. It’s not necessary to have listened to any of the other books in the series before starting the Dragon Mistress arc.

Terrence Mack was born poor, grew up tough, and died hard. Waking up in a sea cave with nothing but the clothes on his back and a new bullet scar was enough to convince him that wherever his death had brought him, it wasn't paradise. His new world quickly proves to be a place of danger, magic, monsters, and - for Terry at least - women. Known on Celestine as a template, Terry's genes are key to the survival of the eldritch races. But the fiercely competitive eldritch don't typically leave their lovers alive long, and aren't accustomed to taking 'no' for an answer.

A Great addition to the Eburosi Chronicles
I loved the Horse Mistress and the Lion Mistress. This book is the 9th installment of the Eburosi Chronicles. I am thoroughly enjoying Frella's adventure and it's great to see how she has grown since we first met her as a child in the first series. R A Steffan really knows how to draw you into the characters psyche to want to understand what drives them. Great read!!! - That was my review on Amazon after I read the ebook version of this book.
I had been waiting with bated breath for the audio of this book so that I could enjoy it over and over again. Hearing all of the character's voices only served to elevate the story in my eyes. I love R A Steffan's imagination. The way she is able to create these worlds and all these characters.
Frella, Rayth, Nix, Eldriss? Not sure if I spelled the names correctly, but I love all four of these characters. They are written so well. With this narration, you can almost feel what all the characters are feeling. I can't wait for the next book in this series because I am so hooked.

Fantastic
Being a big fan of the Horse Mistress series I was thrilled to go back into that world. The book didn't let me down. I loved that it started to fill in with what happened after the first series and was just as thrilling and engaging as the first series. The narrator did a great job of keeping you engaged and bringing the world and characters to life. I was given a free copy of this audio in return for an unbiased review.

good follow up to the previous book
I was given this free review copy audio book at my request and have voluntarily left this review.
I thought this was a good follow up to the previous book in the series. I thought the narration is just as good in this book as it was in the first one. The author does a good job of continuing where the previous book left off. I think you could still enjoy this book without having read/listened to book 1 (or book 8 in the overall series), but I think you'd enjoy this one more if you do. All in all, I think this series is well balanced and entertaining.

Awesome Installment!
I really enjoyed this installment of the series. I love RA Steffan's stories. I have listened to several and they don't disappoint. This one picks up where book one left off and yes, you might be able to listen to this book without hearing book one first but I don't recommend it. The story is very well written and the characters nicely developed. There's action, adventure, an emotional roller coaster, well written steam, suspense and romance. The narration by Gwendolyn Druyor is awesome as usual. I love how she brings the stories to life and really helps the listener to lose themselves completely. The characters have their own voice and emotions. Overall, a wonderfully entertaining listen that I feel is well worth the time!

Wonderful Story & Amazing Narration
This picks up right where the first one ends, and it doesn’t disappoint. I loved everything about this book. The dragons, raw emotions and action-packed story had me on the edge of my seat.
I enjoy Frella’s personality and her easy-going attitude. I also love that she usually speaks before she thinks giving a much more realistic feel to her character.
The other characters are wonderful companions for Frella and I enjoyed listening to the love, care and compassion unfold between all of them.
I’m super excited to know what happens in the next installment.
Gwendolyn Druyor does another amazing job with bringing the characters to life. She’s easy to understand and her reading flows smoothly. I could listen to her all day long.
