Internal Medicine Crash Course Review: 4 Stars ⭐⭐⭐
Alright, so this Internal Medicine crash course was basically like drinking from a firehose, except the firehose is spraying lab values, obscure syndromes, and way too many mnemonics you’ll probably never use again. Did I learn a lot? Yeah. Did it hurt? Also yeah.
First off, the instructors were great—like that one resident who’s on their fourth night shift in a row but still takes the time to explain everything without completely hating you. They knew their stuff and even threw in a few jokes. (Shoutout to whoever called Crohn’s disease “spicy GI drama.”)
The content was solid—organized, thorough, and just the right amount of terrifying. But man, it was dense. By day two, I was diagnosing random people at Starbucks. (“That guy coughing over there? Probably COPD. Needs a PFT and maybe a therapist.”)
Why 4 stars and not 5? Because the pacing was wild. One minute we’re chilling with anemia, and the next it’s like, “Quick! Solve this metabolic acidosis before the patient crashes!” Like, bro, I’m just trying to keep up.
Also, the constant barrage of acronyms made me feel like I was decoding a secret language. By the end, I was dreaming about RTA subtypes and waking up sweating because I forgot how to treat DKA. (Spoiler: it’s fluids. Always fluids.)
Overall, the audiobook gets the job done.

Your No-Nonsense Guide to Med School Survival
Alright, so this audiobook is like a dictionary on steroids, but make it internal medicine. If you’re deep in the med student trenches or just wanna sound hella smart at your next hospital rotation, this is your jam.
It’s packed with terms you didn’t even know existed, and the narrator breaks them down like a professor who actually cares if you’re following along. Props for that, but real talk, it can get kinda dry. Like, there were moments I zoned out and had to rewind 'cause, let’s be real, it’s a lot.
Don’t expect some Grey’s Anatomy drama vibe—this is all business, no fluff. The pacing’s decent, though, so you’re not drowning in jargon, but you’re also not chilling. You gotta stay on your A-game to soak it all in.
Would I recommend it? Yeah, for sure, especially if you’re tired of Googling terms mid-lecture and feeling like a noob. But it’s not exactly “fun,” y’know? It’s more like that one friend who keeps it real and tells you what you need to hear, not what you wanna hear.
4 stars, cause it’s solid and mad useful, but maybe listen with some caffeine. Or snacks.
