About this listen

Tegan is eight months pregnant, alone, and desperately wants to put her crumbling life in the rearview mirror. So she hits the road, planning to stay with her brother until she can figure out her next move. But she doesn't realize she's heading straight into a blizzard.

She never arrives at her destination.

Stranded in rural Maine with a dead car and broken ankle, Tegan worries she's made a terrible mistake. Then a miracle occurs: she is rescued by a couple who offers her a room in their warm cabin until the snow clears.

But something isn't right. Tegan believed she was waiting out the storm, but as time ticks by, she comes to realize she is in grave danger. This safe haven isn't what she thought it was, and staying here may have been her most deadly mistake yet.

And now she must do whatever it takes to save herself—and her unborn child.

A gut-wrenching story of motherhood, survival, and twisted expectations, #1 New York Times bestselling author Freida McFadden delivers a snowbound thriller that will chill you to the bone.

Well, Frieda did it again. An unexpected surprise at the end—I didn’t see this coming. Great work!

Amazing

I was really looking forward to a new book from Freida McFadden but this one sort of left me wanting more. Typical unintelligent main character, the twist was kind of far fetched, and the ending was just meh.

Ehhhh not Freida’s best

The worst book she has written. So annoying and repetitive. Do not recommend. Listen to something else.

Repetitive. Boring.

I could not stop listening to the story, I NEEDED to know what happened next and how the story would play out, its not your usual Freida book, but it still did have a twist at the end that I did not see coming. It was very well written and compelling, I say read it and give it a try!

Loved the story

Is there a limit on the number of plot twists allowed in a book because I'm almost certain Frieda exceeded it. Tegan, girl, you're in danger more than you know. This book was so good and well worth the wait!

I am a huge Freida McFadden fan and this one was worth the wait. Suspenseful, creative, fresh, and PLAUSIBLE (one of my requirements) with believable characters (also a requirement), I liked it! That said, it wasn't her very best book but it's hard to top some of the previous ones. But if you're a McFadden fan, it's definitely worth a read.
