This is my 3rd story by the same author lots of similarities from one book to the next so I was hoping for an unexpected plot twist that never came

I’m so glad that I found this series. It reminds me of the Joseph O’Loughlin series from Michael Robotham, which I loved. These have stronger sexual language, but it’s not excessive and it doesn’t take away from the storyline. I almost passed these up because I’m getting burned out on all of the “detective” stories, but this series is a keeper! Starting the next book now!

Personally, I loved this story. It kept you guessing throughout the entire book. The setup and the way the perspectives were told were immaculate and it was hard for me to stay away from listening to this book. 10/10 for sure.

This was so well written. Speaking as a woman who endured an abusive marriage, this author knew and wrote very well about the psychological aspect of abuse. During parts of the book I almost felt like I was reliving my experience. Many times if there aren't physical injuries a woman (especially here in the US) is dismissed, and the depth of the emotional and psychological abuse aren't recognized & understood. But this was an excellent book.
