Would you listen to The Coachman again? Why?

Absolutely. Though short, it quickly immerses the listener into the story.

What did you like best about this story?

The descriptions were vivid, leaving me with clear imagery in my mind. With little effort on my side, I could imagine each aspect of what was happening.

Which character – as performed by Ben Hauck – was your favorite?

Most definitely the Coachman himself.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

There was one part in particular which caused me to be like 'Wait, what?'. I had to mull it over because of what happened.

Any additional comments?

I really enjoyed the conclusion. It was the type of story where you can kind of predict something bad is going to happen very quickly, yet the story telling kept you interested.

Though terrifying, you can't help but be seduced.

The coachman is a really scary dude and although scary as he is, these 2 women are attracted to his evil ways. Ladies, be aware of the coachman !!!

What made the experience of listening to The Coachman the most enjoyable?

Knowing that it was a short story, I was curious to see how all of this was going to be unraveled in such a short amount of time!

What did you like best about this story?

Well, it's one of those love/hate moments. [spoiler alert!] At the end, when Sharon might succumb to the same temptations, I thought, "Oh no!"

Which scene was your favorite?

I can't deny it: the maggots and flesh-eating beetles were my favorites. Yuck.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

The dare of the coachman to "settle" for normal or go for the unexpected. It really made you think: what would you do?

Any additional comments?

I loved that this was a short story. I think it was 22 minutes which is perfect for a commute, a trip on the train, or a walk in the woods with your dog. I personally chose the dog route and I took a few different paths along the way because I didn't want to get home before it was over!
