Spiritual rather than religious—more an attitude than an ideology—it can be embraced by people from different faiths and backgrounds. Archdruid John Michael Greer explores the history and basics of Druidry; how to perform Druidic rituals, meditation, and divination; elements of the lifestyle; and advice for placing less of a burden on the Earth.

Story
This is the perfect introductory text for listeners who wonder what the works—rather than the myth—of Aleister Crowley are all about. Author Lon Milo DuQuette begins by dispatching some of the myths that have surrounded Crowley’s life and legend. He then explores the practice of rituals themselves, unpacking Crowley’s often opaque writing and offering his own commentary. Step by step, and in plain English, he presents a course of study with examples of rituals and explanations of their significance.

Absolutely Fascinating and Well-Researched
In this book, the author John Michael Greer postulates that the holy grail was not the cup of Christ but part of a mystery ritual going back perhaps to neolithic times. He presents a tremendous amount of history, literature, and magical lore to back this up. Because a lot of history has been lost, he presents quite a bit of conjecture to back up his narrative but is very clear when he does so. I find this to be intellectually honest while preserving the arc of his theories.
As a Freemason, an esoteric teacher, and a fairly well-read chap, I learned a significant amount from this book. I hope this convinces others to continue this line of research,
