About this listen

When a former teammate makes a desperate cry for help from two thousand miles away, Chase Fulton and his team of American covert operatives launch a rescue mission unlike anything they’ve undertaken in their storied career. From the Sea of Cortez to the burning Amazon jungle, the chase is on inside the mysterious and ancient world of tribal existence, at the farthest reaches of civilization.

In a world where every step could spell obliteration for the team, they must become masters of their new environment in order to pluck their brother-in-arms from the clutches of an evil that exists in the haunting expanse beneath the centuries-old canopy of trees flourishing under bright, subtropical skies.

When the team discovers that retrieving their fellow fighter is but the thinnest of layers covering a far more sinister campaign, they must somehow find the courage to stand toe to toe with an invisible, nefarious enemy before the clock runs out and the warriors of tactical Team Twenty-One are but one more forgotten secret eternally absorbed by the endless and unforgiving jungle.

I really like this book. Some of the character personalities are changing and maturing.
It is amazing how different this book is compared to the others, yet it still follows the basic pattern of the series.
Normally I do not like authors that bring in spirituality, however, Cap incorporates spirituality that enhances the story and is not dogmatic.
Cap did a beautiful job telling a story of good vs evil. As the plot unfolds I could feel the self-righteousness and superior feelings the men in the company had in regards to the natives. They had no moral obligation to anyone; they removed anyone or anything in their way. In the end justice was served.
I loved the interaction between Chase and the Amazon natives.
Why my headline is called "Turning Point". Penny has never been one of my favorite characters, nevertheless, at the end of the book what she did for Chase and her interaction with him changed my mind. Penney turned human to me in this book and I hope to see more of this Penny in future books.

I was ready to say it was the worst Cap Daniels I have ever read before I started the seventh chapter. Wish I began with the seventh chapter. I think the narrator,is outstanding. I think that having a villain kill Penny and having the team unite to revenge her murder would make,a good story. I think Penny is a useless distraction to Chase's narrative. I would love for him and Anya to get back together!

six,chapters bad. rest good.
