A consumate writer and narrator who do not
A consummate writer and narrator who do not disappoint. The Lincoln Rhyme series of murder/ mysteries continues with a solid story supported by the usual assortment of regular characters. A serial killer whose existence was previously unknown, a trip to the U.S. to work with inhospitable and inept investigators and the emergence of a young rising star in the Rhyme entourage, all woven into the multi faceted book Jeffery Deaver is so renowned for.

Pleasantly surprised
If have read (listened to) other Jeffery Deaver books, but no others in the "Rhyme and Sachs" series. I got this one on special, so I was happy to "come in late". The author did a good job of providing enough back story to let you know where the main characters were at (mostly scarred by previous thrillers!).
This story follows the standard rules of a thriller, but the execution is very good - keeping my interest the whole way.
The narrator was ok, but not great. Maybe because I have recently listened to "On a Pale Horse", which he also narrated, and his distinctive tone did not seem quite right in this different context.
Overall, if you like this sort of thing, you should like this.

Excellent!
As usual, Mr Deaver ticks all the boxes. No question remained unanswered when I finished the last chapter. The topic of data mining is even more mainstream today and everybody should listen to this book, even just to have a small understanding of the impact of online activities.

One of the most gripping thrillers I have read!
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
Yes, the story is awesome and the way it has been written keeps you enthral led and guessing all the time. The topic is so relevant to the real world that its scary! Of you love crime thrillers, you won't be able to stop listening until you have heard it all!
Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?
Yes! The author builds the story really well and keeps you on the edge! Grey story tellin by the narrator
What about George Guidall’s performance did you like?
Amazing as always! I love his narration!
