Excellent mystery with suprises
A multimillionaire is found dead in a local park. Penny Lane Cooper, a substitute teacher with a curious nature, gets pulled into the investigation after meeting the dead man’s daughter and get family. Meanwhile, Penny’s son is the detective on the case which leads to some mother-son conflict. The book is a multi-layered mystery with twists and turns and an unexpected ending. A lot of quirky characters with relatable interactions. I’ve enjoyed Anna Wheeler’s narration of other authors’s audiobooks and was very happy that she has now coauthored her own book. Her narration on this book is outstanding. I hope this is the start of long series.

OK Murder Mystery
I was not all that impressed by the storyline or really any if the characters in this book. You have a police detective trying to solve a crime and his mother, a school substitute teacher becomes friendly with a member of the dececed family. Narrator does a Faie job with this story.

A good mystery!
I really enjoyed having a book with a strong mature female lead. The mystery itself was a good one with many twists and turns and I thought the ending was unexpected.

Double murder
While I listened to this, I became more and more angry about the entitled way rich people talked and dealt with people who weren't rich. The condescension and uppity way they acted made me feel very sick besides angry. I wouldn't have guessed the killer, but I feel they were well within their rights to do the deed. Paybacks. The other death was just ruthlessness by someone with money, and I was happy they were found out. I didn't care for that person, because they didn't seem to be a good person at heart. A good double whodunit. I enjoyed Penny and her honesty. I voluntarily listened to a free copy of this and am giving an honest opinion. The narrator did a good job bringing the characters and story to life.
