Story
"The Mis-Education of the Negro" is a book originally published in 1933 by Dr. Carter G. Woodson. The thesis of Dr. Woodson's book is that blacks of his day were being culturally indoctrinated, rather than taught, in American schools. This conditioning, he claims, causes blacks to become dependent and to seek out inferior places in the greater society of which they are a part. He challenges his readers to become autodidacts and to "do for themselves", regardless of what they were taught.

Story
In How We Can Win, Jones delves into the impacts of systemic racism and reveals how her formative years in Chicago gave birth to a lifelong devotion to justice. Here, in a vital expansion of her declaration, she calls for Reconstruction 2.0, a multilayered plan to reclaim economic and social restitutions - those restitutions promised with emancipation but blocked, again and again, for more than 150 years. And, most of all, Jones delivers strategies for how we can effect change as citizens and allies while nurturing ourselves in the fight against a system that is still rigged.

Dr. Gary Chapman’s original best seller was first crafted with married couples in mind, but the love languages have proven themselves to be universal. The message of this audiobook is now tailored to meet the unique and real desires of single adults.

Drawing on her life’s work, Bettina Love persuasively argues that educators must teach students about racial violence, oppression, and how to make sustainable change in their communities through radical civic initiatives and movements. She argues that the US educational system is maintained by and profits from the suffering of children of color. Instead of trying to repair a flawed system, educational reformers offer survival tactics in the forms of test-taking skills, acronyms, grit labs, and character education, which Love calls the educational survival complex.

Well needed read
The book speaks to a great number of issues that many black men may have regarding the role of black men, conduct towards women, financial security, the meaning of community, homophobia and provides helpful tips to succeed as a black man. Many points I already found myself doing and others were a much needed reminder that I’m severely lacking those areas. This book should be taught/ read to any young black male as he embarks on his journey in this world.

Something for everyone!
I truly wish I’d known about this book sooner!
Amazing book that covers everything from relationships with the opposite sex, to health, and how you present yourself to the world as a black man.
Give it a listen you won’t regret it!

Great read!
I thoroughly enjoyed the book. I thought it was great. It was very insightful and they gave a lot of detail to things like consider would be topics that you would definitely be able to benefit from. it's the kind of book that I wish that I had read 15 years ago or the kind of book that I would definitely be giving my son to read as he comes of age
