About this listen

"All I lived for was revenge. Until her."

Miranda: I'm on a strange planet surrounded by blue aliens and women who clearly have Stockholm syndrome. I'm not content to pump out alien babies and have dinner cooking for my guy after he returns from a long day of hunting and gathering. Independence is great until my solitary exploration leads me right into the hands of a savage, horned alien who barely speaks but has no intention of letting me go. The worst part? His survival skills are actually kind of turning me on.

Drak: After I'm exiled, the only thing on my mind is revenge. Other than that, I'm merely existing as a beast and a shadow of the warrior I once was. Until I see a human female struggling for her life. I save her, but then I find I can't let her go. For the first time, I'm not thinking of revenge, I'm focused on providing for her, feeding her, and keeping her safe. But the one responsible for exiling me isn't done with his betrayal. This time, I'm fighting harder to reclaim my place...and my female.

Contains mature themes.

I have read a lot of series over the years - rarely have they continued to be good after two or three books. This one hasn't slowed down one bit, and I've yet to get even slightly bored with a single book thus far. I can't wait to see what's next. I hope the velocity continues all the way on until there have to be new women brought from Earth.

Couldn't put it down

This was such a touching story. I cried a few times. Loved the characters so much. I loved it. The one thing I did not like was the female narrator. She was not as good as the male. Her voice was too “raspy”. But, otherwise recommend the audiobook!

Loved it

Pretty good, but by the 3rd rescue I was rolling my eyes at the unnecessary drama when it could've been filled with more romance or world building. Still fun and loving, but more on the action side for sure.

Audible doesn't have the rest of the series available yet (January 2022) or the spin off series with Rex and the other warriors, but I'm hopeful they will be licensed/released soon as I do plan to continue listening to them.

the plot was a little different which made it interesting. the main female lead was pretty stupid. the ending made me roll my eyes at how stupid she could be. might be the stupidest one. the one with the most education/good job back on earth just kept doing little stupid things. such an embarrassment. all in the all , the book was good.

good

I was hoping it was a different alien's story but this one had a really good twist and lots of action and intrigue. As always, I love this author, a must read!

Great plot.

I was nervous about this one but I shouldn't have been with how I am loving these books so far! I fell so hard for our mystery alien, with how our group leader/mentor made him come out of his shell, how she got him feeling things and expressing things. I liked how they had to work harder to communicate with his speech issue. I felt like their connection was stronger because of it. I said book 3 was my favorite but book 4 took the cake!

I liked how they got to know each other before reuniting with the group. I thought their physical connection felt more realistic (I know how realistic can an alien and human relationship be haha) but they let it bloom/was more slow burn than the others. I liked they got their locks right away so Miranda would know what that meant, it was a good set-up all around. I also liked the action side of the story/plot with Miranda's eyesight (having worn glasses for over 30 years I felt her pain so much!) and getting to learn how to handle things without her perfect vision, how they learned from each other, the baddies making their appearances and the battles between them.

I liked learning what happened to Drak even if it was heartbreaking. It was good to get all the info, seeing his redemption and being accepted into the clan again. I smiled seeing him heal and become who he used to be instead of the feral alien he was forced to become. I loved the way Miranda and Dark were strong for each other, well-matched, strong but also vulnerable. Love love love! The narration was great too. I appreciated how well the narrators embraced these personalities, they jumped right off the page, well off the earbud I guess haha. I didnt want this story to end, I liked the almost Tarzan-esque feel it had. I betrayal they both experienced by the same alien was very poignant, I felt the pain and anger easily.

Already finished the next book, took a break once I had to read the bonus story that's in between some of these books! I am looking at getting more from this author on the current Audible sale because of how much I like this series already <3

Favorite of the bunch!

Now this is a good book, it had a great storyline and held my attention. The narrators did a great job with character development. Heather was best as Miranda. The things that happened to Drak was so wrong; but he was a badass warrior; my kind of guy! Hope there will be more books like this; a book about Gar would be nice.

The best book of series

this was my favorite! I loved drak!! between his memory, PTSD, banishment, injury.. the poor guy was in a bad state, but still remained true to his nature. I was intrigued by him when he first appeared saving Ward. I was really glad his book was next and his story did not disappoint. Miranda was great, she had her vision to deal with but still tried really hard to learn new things and be a rock for the other girls. she was so kind and open to Drak even when she didn't want a mate initially. they are just so sweet together.

I've read all of this series and the several "spin off" series, they are all great! Ella Maven is fantastic. I was excited to see them as audio books, the narrators were new to me but they both did a great job bringing the story to life, especially Jeffery when Drak tries to speak with his injured voice. I'm glad it's the same two for all the books so far. when you get good narrators it's a nice flow to have them continue the whole series.

I was especially glad it wasn't virtual voice like a lot of other sci-fi books, that just does not do a good book justice in my opinion and I give up trying to listen🙉 the quality of the narrators ability to really bring emotion and life to the story is the whole point of an audio book for me.

looking forward to the rest of this series, definitely recommend❤️

6 females are stolen from earth by Aliens. Rescued by The Draxians (a 7th tall blue pierced alien race that drive hover motor bikes and worship females. Their female race was wiped out by a virus many years prior and most have never seen a female) This series is similar to Ice Planet Barbarians by Ruby Dixon with the big blue aliens minus the freezing ice planet. These guys have technology and warring clans. Each book has a brother/clan member who becomes bonded to the females.

Miranda and Drak are my favorite couple so far. The way all the couples care for one another is super sweet but these two were my favorite. Drek was outcasted from the clavas 15 years ago and has been alone suffering with memory loss and no voice due to injuries. The story is about how Miranda and him find one another and make it back where they belonged.
