This recording of an evening at Symphony Space’s Thalia Book Club features a delightful discussion between authors Susanna Clarke and Neil Gaiman, which took place shortly after the release of Clarke's sensational debut, Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrell. After a long dramatic reading from the book by actress Cristina Pickles, Gaiman and Clarke discuss their first meeting many years ago, Clarke's 10-year process writing the book, her diverse influences, and her disdain for distinctions between high and low culture. With thought-provoking questions from the audience, this is sure to be a treat for fans of these beloved authors.

NO, It's NOT the Book!
What it is is an interesting interview with Susanna Clarke conducted by Neil Gaiman. It is worthwhile if you are a diehard Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrell lover and just have to know everything possible about the author and the book.
Yes, there is a bit of an echo. It was done in a large hall. But the echo is not bad.
Now, if you think you are getting the whole audiobook for a minute $3.95, you've got to be an recent immigrant from Mars. Plus, all you need do is actually READ the title of this "audiobook" and it's description to confirm for yourself that you are not lucking out and getting a $30 audiobook for a lousy $4.
And, please, if you have enough patience and interest, get both the ebook and the audio version. You will greatly enjoy the experience.
