About this listen

Robert arrives in Colombia with a surprise for his wife, Rosemary: Tara, a Jack Russell puppy.

Join this adventurous couple - and their amazing, seafaring canine crew of one - as they cruise around the world on their yacht, Deusa. Their exciting and sometimes hair-raising adventures on land and sea include tales of tsunamis, modern-day pirates, corrupt customs officials, several instances of 'dog overboard!', many new friends - and near disaster off the Australian coast....

I love doggies! And I sail and cruise and own sailboats. And I have friends that have long-distanced cruised with their dogs, on a Formosa 51...So I thought this would be a great book. But this was too much about the dog.
The details of vet visits and the interactions of the dog with this person or that situation, surprisingly felt like an interupption rather than a welcome addition to the story, for me. I only got through chapter 3 before I gave up.
The narrator, however, is fantastic. She had different voices and accents in dialogue and a pleasant intonation and inflection and pace. i will look for more books narrated by her.

Too much about the pup
