Her latest client wants to go to Argentina, but with physical strength and coordination being an issue, she needs help … Ellie’s help, and there’s no better way to combine therapy and recreation than … the TANGO! Witches, warlocks, the ladies of The Early Morning Fitness Club, and of course Penelope and Earl, THEY’RE BACK, and I’m SO glad! I truly enjoyed everything about “Tango Trouble”! EVERYTHING! The plot, so unique and so beautifully explained, holding my interest throughout, while at the same time moving the series forward, making me want the next installment NOW! The included bonus story at the end, wow, what is an eye opening WOW! I can’t divulge anything without playing spoiler and that wouldn’t be fair, but I CAN say I was taken completely by surprise and I LOVED it! Another thing I loved - the characters! All my favorites are back, plus some new, beautifully defined, lovable, AND “love to whack upside the head” characters, one or three I’d LOVE to see as series regulars moving forward! I can’t name names for fear too much gets “read” into it … so for now, lips zipped and fingers still! Finally, the narration, oh holy WOW! The narration is absolute perfection! Every character is given a unique voice perfectly suited to their personality, a voice that is beautifully emotive AND perfectly consistent throughout the performance, WITH every aspect of the performance perfectly timed, regardless of listening speed chosen! I have no doubt that this, THIS, is our authors fabulous vision come vibrantly to life! The entire production earns FIVE fabulous stars across all categories! I wish I could give more!

Tango Trouble is the 4th in the Magical Mane Mystery series by Stella Bixby. Ellie seems to have finally found her place and is continuing to settle into the Cliff Haven community by conducting her yoga and wellness classes. She expanded to dance classes when one of her clients wanted to learn the tango. Unfortunately, she stumbles over a dead body and someone standing over it with a knife! Ellie gets involved in the investigation and tries to use her magical skills to solve the mystery. There is also a second short story about Ellie’s trip to Rio.

I love how the quirky characters and their relationships are evolving and maturing. Ellie is continuing to learn about her past and explore and develop her magic. I love her hair changes!! This is a stand alone novel, but I there are subplots that thread through the entire book series. I look forward to the next book to find out the answers to Ellie’s outstanding questions.

The narration by Shannon Nicole Locke is outstanding. She created unique voices, with different accents and vocal features for each of the many characters. Her performance brought the characters and stories to life!

A great addition to a fun magical series.
