About this listen
Lily Montgomery’s parents have died, leaving Lily and her younger sister, Hope, to struggle with the debts left behind. Jobs are sparser than ever—and it seems Lily’s only option is to become a Mail Order Bride.
The matrimonial agency quickly matches her with Jacob Meyers, a rancher in Miles Gulch, Wyoming. Jacob is honest, hard-working, and kind—just the sort of man Lily should fall in love with at first sight. But their engagement lacks a vital spark – the kind of spark that lights Jacob's eyes when he looks at Lily's sister, Hope.
Lily supposes she ought to feel jealous. But is there any point in forcing a marriage when she doesn't feel any attachment? And then there's the matter of the tall, handsome sheriff of Miles Gulch - and the sparks that fly every time their eyes meet. If only Sheriff Dalton was inclined to marry a Mail Order Bride…

Great Mail Order Brides Story
The story was very interesting and kept my attention. It was wonderful to read how the sisters got along, especially seeing how things turned out. It was a great twist for a mail order brides story. The narrator did a very nice job, and I could easily follow the story. I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

Hallmark meets short stories
This is a cute Christmas bride short story. It was my first listen from this author and I’ve since listened to another! I would happily listen to more, too. As a matter of fact that’s my only real complaint: I want more haha! I’d love to see longer novels in this lineup.

A Holiday Feel Good
Every once in a while I listen to a story not in my usual modern romances. This tale is just perfect...beautifully written with little angst but wonderful flow. Characters are well developed and I felt part of the town. The narrator has a very distinctive voice, absolutely perfect for this tale. Her voices are excellently performed. I am so glad I listened and will be looking out for more of this author and narrator!

Great heartwarming mail order Christmas bride
Lily signs up as a mail order bride in order to provide security for her and her sister Hope. When she arrives to meet her future husband Jacob, she finds herself drawn to the sheriff instead and the way Jacob looks at her sister makes her believe that maybe her sister is the one meant for Jacob. Cute quick wholesome romance.
