About this listen

USA Today Bestselling author Adriana Locke brings the heat with this romance between a silver-spoon southern princess and the blue-collar fighter that wins her heart.

I’m that guy.

Camilla Landry rustles against me, the silky fabric of her overpriced lingerie slipping along my bruised rib. The porcelain perfection of her skin is even more innocent against the colorful ink dotting my own.

It’s demure meets damaged, pampered meets punctured.

So, yeah, it’s obvious I’m that guy. Dominic Hughes. Her attempt at rebellion. Her bid to see what the other side of the tracks feel like. I’m okay with being used because, from where I’m sitting, the other side of the tracks have never looked so good.

Better Than I Hoped; But….

Loved this story! Many of the complaints of other reviewers I felt were solved when Dom meets Camilla’s father; It all made perfect sense to me!
MY BIGGEST COMPLAINT was with the FEMALE NARRATOR/NARRATION. Which is quite the conundrum because I quite liked her narration in the previous 4 books.
The SOUTHERN ACCENT she assigned to CAMILLA’S CHARACTER MADE HER SOUND DITZY AND WEAK; traits totally opposite of how think Camilla’s character was written to be. IMO she got stronger as the story progressed, which I thought the narration tempered.
My question is why the accent?? None of the other female characters in the previous 4 books were given an accent and they were all from Savannah (or there about) as well…

Dom and Cam 4.5⭐️

Dom and Camilla are such a great addition to the Landry family saga! Their dynamic is so different from the other couples and it brings the perfect balance to the series.

‘No one has ever made me feel so safe and so reckless at the same time.’

Despite Dom’s bravado there are so many little things he does to show Cam how much he cares for her. Their relationship is endearing and frustrating and super smoking hot.

There’s so much growth for them but also within their respective families as well. As always, Adriana Locke has given us a story filled with heart, shenanigans and a healthy dose of heat!

Classic Locke

Always have I enjoyed the Laundry Series by Adriana Locke but I especially enjoyed Swink. Camilla Landry is the sweetest and her dating a man, very sexy man, from the wrong side of town puts a whole new twist to the story. The Brothers always way to overprotective makes the story full of twists as I thought they would be even tougher to win over. I love all the mini stories of the family and the new addition of characters. You did it again Adriana!!! One last nite about the Narrators, Kai and Wen are incredible, I can listen to them day!!!

Another wonderful addition to a great series

Wow. I loved this book. This is a wonderful series and this was a great addition to this series. Adriana Locke again out did herself. Camilla (swink) and Dominic are so great together. I loved the story and the chemistry. The Landry's are great and to see each of them again is great. Cannot wait to get Sienna story.

In this edition Cam is with Don who is from the wrong side of the tracks and everyone thinks they don't belong to each other. But they do and they fight for each other.

Kai kennicott and Wenn Ross has done a great job. They made it so you don't to stop listening to this book.

Cam & Dom

Sweet story of two people from the opposite side of the tracks and the struggles they face trying to mesh together their different upbringing and social status, what first started as lust morphed into love. Acceptance is hard but needed to make it, and eventually they do..

Not the end of the Landry family series

On audible, the next book Says it should be “Sweet” but there is no book. After a little research, I figured out that Cams twin sister Siennas story, is in the Gibson boys series as “Crank”.

Cams story is really sweet, and romantic. It was a little to much like my marriage to my ex husband, but other than that I liked it enough to find her sisters story and then started on the Gibson boys. I’m a little obsessed with the dual narration. Love it!

Swink: Another Locke Hit

I love everything about the Landry series. All the characters are so well written. The dynamic between the siblings, the parents, the major male and female roles. It all intertwines so well. What really ties it all together in a big red bow are the voices of Wen Ross and Kai Kennicott. I love an interactive narrative.
This story between Cam and Dom - the good girl and the bad boy is so precious. I have only one negative remark. Camilla's character is so naive about why Dom didn't want her at his fighting match. I realize that there are actually some people who are raised very sheltered. However, Cam's character was a strong woman and she just didn't seem to be that clueless about most everything else in life. So it surprised me that she would act that way.
I'm looking forward to the next book in the series Sweet.

Adriana does it again.

Would you consider the audio edition of Swink to be better than the print version?

In this case I prefer the audio version. Kai's sweet southern charm flows freely and Wen's brooding DEEP voice is like honey.

Have you listened to any of Wen Ross and Kai Kennicott ’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Kai and Wen are always spectacular and this performance does not disappoint. They have such a range of different voices it is not difficult to differentiate between characters, and the way they play off of each other is nothing short of amazing.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Adriana's description of the big fight was quite detailed and heartfelt. I was able to see through Camilla's eyes and feel her heart breaking. A very well-done scene.

Any additional comments?

I was given a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Dom is the Bomb!

Move over Landry men and make room for a new sexy, southern, alpha male! I absolutely loved this West Side Story meets Romeo & Juliet, forbidden romance. When Dominic Hughes comes to Camilla Landry's house to fix her air conditioning, Cam is drawn to this sexy man from the wrong side of the tracks. They take a chance and begin to see each other. Dom believes that there is an expiration date on their affair, because what could a good girl like Cam want with a bad boy who could never give her the life she deserves. Dom works 3 jobs as a repairman, bartender, and fighter, just to make ends meet, while Cam shops, and plans charity events for the elite of the community. But Cam isn't the pampered princess he thinks she is. She is smart, strong, loyal, loving and determined to take care of him. She grows to see the softer, kind and loyal side of this fighter. It hurts her when he won't integrate her into his life or mix with hers. But as their hearts become more involved and Doms desire to protect and make Cam happy grows, he finally agrees to meet one of her brothers. Now the fun really begins! The Landry brothers are so over protective, wanting what's best for Cam, on their terms of course. But Cam has to show them that she is capable of making good decisions on her own. Dom and Cam are complete opposites who challenge each other and make each other stronger and whole. They are so perfect together and their chemistry is off the charts. The Landry family is again essential in this story. I loved catching up on all the family but mostly seeing how they fight for each other to make sure they are safe and happy. The scenes with Ford, Lincoln, and Graham are priceless! This multifaceted story is the best of this already epic family saga! It is heart pounding, thrilling, moving, funny, and super hot and steamy.

Wen Ross and Kai Kennicott have such a smooth and easy rapport with their duet narration. They make each scene and the banter even more fun and engaging.

If you haven't tried this series yet, you must! You will love it, I promise!

My Two Pennies

I love how Kai can go between multiple so many characters throughout the story so smoothly and Wen, well I’m just hooked on that deep voice that holds your attention. As for the story itself 4.5 Sweet stars, I am so happy that Cam “Swink” has her very own story. This family is by far my favorite yet and although I’m still hooked on Lincoln Cam and Don are at the top of my list as well. She may be the youngest of the siblings but she knows who and what she wants and will not let anyone change her mind. Dom is a hard working man holding not one but two jobs and boxing on the side while Swink being a Landry lives a slightly different lifestyle but this man has a heart of gold and the way he treats Cam is the way every man should. Wonderful story with a beautiful ending. I can’t believe we’re five books into this family and I still want to hear more. Usually after a couple the storyline tends to dip a bit but not with this series. I’ve read them in order but I feel like you’d be able to jump around and not be lost in the slightest. Grab your copy and get to know this family. This is my unbiased and voluntary review.
