About this listen
A sweet tabby cat named Sunbeam.
A vandalized sunflower farm outside Austin.
A sinister plot lurking beneath the sunny Hill Country fields.
When distressed tabby Sunbeam arrives at Silver Circle Cat Rescue, Ellie and Evie Rockwell are immediately drawn to his sunny disposition and charming purr. But beneath his cheerful exterior, Sunbeam is heartbroken—his owner Marigold Taylor was mysteriously murdered at her beloved sunflower farm in the Texas Hill Country.
As Ellie and Evie dig deeper, they uncover a tangled web of jealousy, betrayal, and hidden agendas as twisted as a rattlesnake—but as they navigate the twisting rows of suspects and motives, Ellie and Evie find themselves in the crosshairs of a killer determined to keep their secrets buried under the Lone Star soil.
Can they expose the murderer before the sun sets on the farm—and their lives?
Join Ellie, Evie, and their feline friends in “Sunbeam, Sunflowers, and Sabotage”, the eighth installment of the Silver Circle Cat Rescue Mysteries, where every cat has a Texas-sized tale to tell and every sunflower field hides a Hill Country mystery.

Story
My life was going just fine by most standards. I ran a successful business in a tight-knit magical community, and lived just blocks from a beautiful lake and series of hiking trails. Then Selene showed up. According to some magical code I inherit my aunt's ancient familiar; a grumpy ten-pound cat with a broken filter. She fancies herself something of a saber-toothed tiger, and claims to have wrestled the thread of her ninth life from the hands of the Fates themselves—although, I'm pretty sure that last part isn't true. Almost positive.

Superhero Cats to the Rescue!
This series keeps getting better with each book! This group of amateur sleuths and the rest of the gang that are in each book, are so much fun! This mystery involves the murder of Marigold, who is a sunflower gardener as well as researcher. The list of people that may have killed her was growing by the day and Ellie and Landon were on the job trying to solve the murder. Lots of action, mystery and finger pointing in this book. Especially loved all of the time spent with the rest of the family, friends and cats in the shelter. There were a lot of twists and turns in this book and it was a lot of fun when the cats came to the rescue! Meghan Kelly did an awesome job narrating this story. She is so amazing with all the voices that you would think that there were multiple people narrating this book. I would definitely recommend this book and the entire series! I can’t wait until the next audiobook comes out!

Absolutely Fantastic Book & Series
The Silver Circle Cat Rescue Mysteries series by Leanne Leeds is one of my favorite cozy mystery series. The characters Ellie, Evie, Landon, Matt, Mario and the rest of the friends/family are described and written to perfection. The characters are so realistic, relatable and believable and interact like real people. The cats all have their own personalities as well. As a long time cat owner I can attest to Ms. Leeds’s description of all the cats’ descriptions, attitudes and interactions are also spot on!
This book involves Marigold, a sunflower farm owner who is murdered and her plant research is stolen. There are suspects galore, including her sister, fiancee, a beekeeper, psychic and an oil company. Marigold’s discoveries could be an environmental boom, but greed rears its head. Ellie and team of friends get involved because she discovered the murdered woman and rescued her cat. It gets more personal for the group when one of their own disappears. I was beside myself when the unthinkable happened, that I sadly thought it was the end. But, as always, the entire team rallies and Table Rock is a sleepy town again, thanks to the magical Silver Circle Cat Rescue!
I cannot say enough superlatives about the narration by Meghan Kelly. She creates unique voices, accents, inflections, etc, for all the characters, both human and animal that 100% fit their written descriptions. Ms. Kelly’s performance is fantastic and the voices of the characters and cats absolutely match their personalities, level of sarcasm, sweetness, etc. Her ability of perform a range of voices in age, gender, accent is so astoundingly impressive. It is almost impossible to believe it’s only one supremely talented person narrating this book. She may be magical herself!

Laugh out loud!
This book is well written and narrated. It has mystery,Intrigue, and humor. This is a well thought out storyline. I definitely recommend this book series.
The narrator does a fantastic job with the characters and the voices of each character making it easy to know which character is speaking. She is a fabulous narrator that does different voices and narrates the story on her own. She is one of my favorite narrator’s. I always enjoy the books she narrates.

Satisfies on SO many Levels! Fantastic!
Lighthearted, yet surprisingly deep, “Sunbeam, Sunflowers, and Sabotage” satisfies on SO many levels! The writing is extraordinary! Wittily engaging, this magically whimsical story maintains an underlying seriousness, striking a perfect balance where BOTH human AND animal characters face real life issues! Add in the uber frequent laugh out loud moments and you have a rare perfect trifecta! I throughly enjoyed this plot! There were so many new characters added, fully formed, fully defined characters that COULD have been the ne’er do well, so many that had EVERY reason to have nefarious designs … it was a deliciously defined smorgasbord and my scorecard was filling fast! The story flowed smoothly and I was riveted! AND the characters … oh my the CHARACTERS both human, feline, AND in this story canine, filled me with joy, and stole my heart! I did mention canines right? There’s these two doggies … Wait until you meet THEM! I was laughing so hard at their antics, I … could … not … breathe! And … on that note ZIP … go the fingers! I’m not typing another word … but, believe me when I tell you, they are integral to the plot of this fabulously entertaining story. What was also fabulously entertaining was the narration that brought these characters and scenes vibrantly and believably ALIVE! Both vocal selection and character voicing are beyond incredible! I close my eyes and I see the characters EXACTLY as the author described them. The voices FIT! They are voiced with attitude and sass, emotion and feeling, caring and compassion! They are one hundred percent believable, consistent, and compelling! The same is true for the scene setting and all aspects of the story. It all becomes real as I listen, the world the author created becomes stunningly real in my mind and in my heart every … single time! I say every single time because I am HOOKED on this series! Every story in this series grabs me, holds me, and does not let me goes till the final words are spoken, and this one, this dramatic, delightful, magically entertaining story is no exception! Five fantastic stars across all categories!

Listening to this is the highlight of my day
Oh what a tangled web we weave! This is the 8th book in this series and they get more creative as they go along. I throughly enjoyed getting back into the Tablerock, Texas town or should I say back to the Silver Circle Cat Rescue. This murder mystery involves a Sunflower farm and a cat named Sunbeam. Once Sunbeam meets the other cats anything can happen! I loved how this one developed with all the cats involvement. They add a lot of humor and insight to the story along with Ellie, Evie and the gang.
Overall this is a wonderful addition to a great series. It is enjoyable to listen to as it always leaves me in a good mood. Meghan Kelly does an excellent job with the narration. She helps bring these books to life with all the various voices she uses throughout the story. In here there is a guy named Carl and he is kind of the town grumpy old guy. I am not sure how she does his vocals without coughing. Anyway between the cats and the people she always impresses me with her multiple vocal talents.

Funny and entreating
This book in the series is also fascinating. This time, we get the chance to discover even more fascinating details about the magnificent Belladonna and magic platter. This is the moment when cats can now join a detective squad, and they are excellent at it.
Even though it is awful when an innocent person is killed, you feel immensely satisfied when the murderer is apprehended and brought to justice.
As usual, the narrator, Meghan Kelly, was excellent. Because each character had a distinct voice and personality, the story was a pleasure to listen to.

My favourite line, "...small town gossip travels faster than a toupee in a hurricane." I loved this zany murder mystery solved with the assistance of talking cats. Meghan Kelly did a great job with the narration.

cats to the rescue
This was an intriguing story about betrayals, greed, and corruption. To lose someone so bright , caring , and intelligent was a great loss to science and humanity. The magic plate had a real journey of its' own this time. lol. The cats were the real heros of the story , and it was enjoyable seeing them shine in their element. This series has been a great experience each time. I look forward to more. I voluntarily listened to a free copy of this and am giving an honest opinion. The narrator did a great job bringing the characters and story to life with her variety of voices. I recommend this book and series

I JUST 💖THIS SERIES,the cats are such characters
I JUST 💖THIS SERIES by Leanne Leeds, the cats are such characters with endearing individual personalities that make me want to spend some smooching time at the cat shelter. The story line has really developed with some interesting and appreciated events to spice up the magic plate involvement. As usual the mystery was entertaining and held my attention easily, I thoroughly enjoyed the story even through the serious times and exciting times.
Meghan Kelly does a lovely job with all the different voices, it is easy to tell who is talking, there must be over 10 humans without including the cats voices, special mention goes to "Floofy the kitten and those two crazy poodles".
Take the time to get into the story and enjoy Meghan's characters. RECOMMENDED CLEAN MYSTERY WITH TALKING ANIMALS SUITABLE FOR TEENS TO OLDIES, YOU JUST NEED AN IMAGINATION!
