About this listen
His street name was Daylight. But he was a nightmare. On the streets of New York, darkness and violence reigned. Dimas "Daylight" Salaberrios began selling drugs when he was 11 years old, and by 16 he had served his first stint at the notorious Rikers Island prison. Dimas saw only one way to survive: by reigning over the streets. He would be the richest, most powerful ruler in the hood...or die trying.
Street God is the true story of one man's dangerous journey through the underworld of crime, drugs, and almost certain death. It was an encounter with the real God that saved his life - and then made it even more dangerous. Because that God sent Dimas back down the darkest streets he'd ever known - with other lives depending on it. And Dimas had to ask the question: How far am I prepared to go?
A dramatic, compelling memoir full of twists and turns, Street God delves deep into a world from which few ever emerge - and shows how a single spark of light can illuminate even the darkest existence.

Story
There are many things that seem normal or average today that at one point in time seemed absolutely crazy. Smartphones, Wi-Fi, and even the electric light bulb were all groundbreaking, history-making inventions that started out as crazy ideas. Our see-it-to-believe-it generation tends to have a hard time exercising true faith - one that steps out, takes action, and sees mountain-moving results. Many of us would rather play it safe and stand on the sidelines, but it’s crazy faith that helps us see God move and reveals His promises.

Street God
Powerful. Liberating. I am so thankful and encouraged. I’m one of those who is more frustrated from within the church not the streets.
This is a GREAT book; awesome narrator. I so appreciate the love of the mother; the transparency of his life and his sole commitment to Jesus Christ and the leading of the Holy Spirit. It is my prayer that this books gets into the hands of more millions.
Thank you Rev. for allowing the God of the streets to once again showed forth his great love and power.🙌🏾💞🙌🏾

Interesting testimony and enjoyable listen
It’s not very often i find a Christian book that makes me chuckle. While this story had many serious moments, i appreciated the lighthearted parts that truly highlighted dimas’s christian naivety. His story is wild.
Not the drugs or street life (although that’s wild) but the God moments all throughout his life. Being saved from addiction, from the street life, from prison, and more is a true testament to Gods power.
