Great information… focus on 40 yo women
Just finished Jennifer‘s book, and thought it was incredible and gave great insight to the mindfulness of weight loss. I must’ve missed somewhere that this book was written and designed for 40 year old women, as I am a 30 something male. Although it was truly worth it for the perspective and vast amount of knowledge. Would recommend to anyone.

A revelatory book on reclaiming your health
I really like this basic but insightful assessment of what,why and how to manage emotional over eating and reclaiming one’s health and self respect. Though this book is directed at 40 something Woman it applies across the board to anyone . It would be nice to see a revised version that loses the gender specific directives. I understand and respect that this her perspective but emotional eating is a genderless world wide struggle.

Great insights!!!
Loved the book! As every other self help book there was a lot of repetition to fill the book, but insights into minds of women over 40 are amazing!!!! I never thought of figuring out the why behind my weight gain. Was a little disappointed that there was no mention of exercise and no suggestion of any action plan just advise that you should have one.

Loved it from beginning to end.
I’ve always known what to do. However, recently I started listening to other books on weight loss and gained quite a bit of great additional insight and tips to help me put together a real plan. There were many other things to consider in my journey, including, but certainly not limited to what I now call my “POP” theory - planning, organizing and preparing. I also started to learn the importance of sleep and time management. But while I was going through the motions, and working towards doing the right things, things still were not going anywhere ……until I listened to this book. I was working so hard on my POP theory, and sabotaging it at the same time! And with no clue that I was doing it. Jennifer really opened my eyes to how I’ve literally been dragging my own self down….. I’m so many ways. It’s crazy. This book is the cherry on top. Well, the whip cream. My next mission, which I think will be the cherry, will focus on mindful eating. Anyway, The book is well written, well read, to the point and honest. I love how she told it straight, using not only her clients as examples, but herself. I swear, her client in chapter 5 made me clap and cheer as I was doing my afternoon walking. I couldn’t believe it. She was me! I was her! I was not alone! There is a n alternate destiny for me. Jennifer opened my eyes. If you haven’t considered that you may be in your own way. You need to have a listen. She’ll talk to you like an honest friend. Enjoy!

I love this book but
This book is a great tool for weight loss. The author is honest and speaks directly to you, sometimes I felt like she was inside my head. It’s not a diet book it’s more like a change of state of mind about weight loss. The only thing that got a little annoying is how she mentions wine in every chapter all the way to the end. Like fixation. I understood from the first chapter .. yes yes wine is bad. Other than that is an excellent book.
