Story
Modern society is plagued by fragmentation. The various sectors of our communities - businesses, schools, social service organizations, churches, government - do not work together. They exist in their own worlds. As do so many individual citizens, who long for connection but end up marginalized, their gifts overlooked, their potential contributions lost.

Story
Confronting Our Freedom is about reframing the common practices rising from traditional thinking about management and leadership. Most management theory and practice are about the need for clear constraints to succeed in the world where we work, but this now conventional thinking about managing calls for adaptation when working remotely has become common. This book is an invitation to freedom.

A New Way of Thinking
Something went wrong. Please try again in a few minutes.
Change is difficult and those in power now will probably have the most trouble accepting these ideas. But these ideas can transform us and society, and they should be embraced by all.

Would you listen to Stewardship again? Why?
I've listened to it twice and will probably listen to it many more times on my long commute. I love this radical departure from the normal corporate ideology. It's very appealing to an entrepreneur like me who's had to fit herself into the corporate grind after calling my own shots for a few decades. Many, but not all, are hungry for ownership and a share in the rewards and privileges. This will take a lot of willpower and determination to implement, along with a healthy dose of un-indoctrination. Not sure it can be accomplished, but will be fun to try! What was one of the most memorable moments of Stewardship?
When we take ownership, we give up the luxury of having others take care of us.What does Michael Toms bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
Very low key, laid back presentation. Peaceful voice. I would imagine this is the non-confrontational style that the author would have selected. Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Yes -- didn't take much more than a day or two to finish.Any additional comments?
Had mixed feelings about the interviews at the end. Interesting the first time through, not something I wanted to listen to again.Love the concept but can it be done?
