Be ready for this story!

This friends to lovers story is one that will make you smile, laugh and cry all at the same time. Garrett and Megs get a chance at love under very unusual circumstances, and he doesn't leave anything to chance. This sweet and unexpected story has all of the feels especially with the ending.

Sarah Puckett did another fantastic narration job with this book.

BORING

it took all I had to get threw this entire book. it was so slow and Boeing and never picked up. the only interesting part was the end, which kinda made you think there should be a part 2, but there isn't, and I probably couldn't handle the boredom even if there was. I should return. definitely not worth a credit or $$

Stay Awhile

Holy Cow what a good book! At first I didn’t know what the book was about since the blurb was a bit vague but after listening to this book I understand why. This book has every emotion you can feel in it and you connect to the characters so completely that you cry and fall with them. I am so happy to see a happy ending but am curious as to if there will be a continuation to the story. Must Read!

unique story

I personally loved this book. I thought it was quite unique in it's plot. I thought the characters were great. Some you loved, some you hated but either way, they made you feel. I was riveted and could not put this book down. The 2nd half of this book more so left my emotions in a tailspin. I sent more than a few rage-y messages as i was reading just trying to process my feelings and the story. That is the sign of a great book to me. I would LOVE to see this expanded on to see a 2nd book. I normally write reviews right away however this one took me a while to process my thoughts. What an ending!

Narration: Sarah did a fantastic job of narration. The narration itself was clear and a pleasure to listen to. The editing was clean and well done. I had zero complaints.

Twisty Turny

Gia, Gia, Gia...
To watch you and your writing grow over the years has been an absolute delight, and I'm so proud to be on the journey with you. It's such a pleasure to see you try out different styles, and different genres. From NA to YA, rocker books to pseudo mystery borderline erotica, and back to sweet romance with some big twists I've gobbled up every book with glee. Stay Awhile and Dr. Garrett and Megs certainly did not disappoint, even if you had me almost peeing my pants in anticipation or screaming out loud at your numerous twists and turns. Watching Laney bring everyone together as a family was so touching and beautiful but please tell me you have plans for more on this cast of characters?! I NEED more.

Sarah Puckett definitely did these characters justice, bringing them to glorious life in my imagination, giving them more nuances than when I had simply read them. I felt more emotion listening, and noticed different things as well. I look forward to listening to more of this amazing narrator.

I am speechless!!!

When I got to he end of this book, after reading about all of the boys Megan has taken over the course of this story, needless to say, I was taken aback by what happens! I was so not expecting that!!

Megan walks into her home after being away, to find all the lights on, another woman in her kitchen, and her husband and daughter nowhere to be found! Once she discovered they were at the emergency room... she tells the woman in her kitchen to leave.. she races to find her daughter. This day begins a journey she never would have imagined... one that devastates her. Garret is a friend from high school, her daughters surgeon. He stays by her through all of the hits she takes from that day forward.

This story rocked me. One of the guys this woman suffered might have ended someone less strong. Megan just keeps moving forward. This is such a wonderful story! There are so many twists and turns in the story. Garret is a fantastic person and is just what she needs when she needs it!

That ending though. You’ll never see it coming!

I highly recommend

This is one of them most emotional stories I’ve listened to. I’m listening to the story and it’s going along as a heartbreaker. Megan’s life is sent into a whirlwind when her family is in a car accident. As she faces what she has ignored she makes life changing decisions that cause her mental anguish. Circumstance causes her to interface with Garrett and things proceed from there. There is just so much to this story that I went from issue to issue only to find out the ending is a total emotional gotcha. There are few authors who can pull off this sort of story but this author does so successfully. I have enjoyed other of her stories and she is one to follow. I will recommend this book and I don’t do so to many. I received a free copy of this story and this is my voluntary review but this story is just so good I’d have had to take the time to write a review no matter what. Also since this is the audio edition I have to also say the narrator, Sarah Puckett did a very believable job. A narrator can make audio books come to life if they do a good job and she did a great job here.

This one will definitly stay with me for awhile!

Stay Awhile is an amazing story! Such an emotional roller coaster! Megan goes through so much I could not even imagine, and throughout everything Garrett is by her side never giving up. In life there is only so much a person can take and these two really fought the battle. And Laney! Oh my what a wonderful addition, I love this little girl! This was so much more than I could have imagined! The narration was amazing!

What Took Me So Long To Find This?!?!?!

I was pulled in from the 1st two minutes. The story was absolutely refreshing with twists and turns I did not see coming. I was completely captivated by the story and performance. Sarah Puckett was amazing as usual. She is always a pleasure to listen to. This was my first Gia Riley book and will definitely be my last. I so want to see what happens to the characters. Please tell me there will be a follow up novella.

Emotionally Intense, Amazing Narration!!!

ALL THE FEELS....where to even begin? This story completely hooked me from the start and kept me hooked with the roller coaster of emotions I felt throughout the story.

In this story Megan basically finds out her whole life with Connor was one big lie, or rather a series of very well-crafted and well-hidden lies. When her life is at the ultimate lowest though, she is given the best gift in the form of an old friend who has secretly loved her forever, who helps put back the pieces of her heart and heal some of her very deep wounds. Megan's daughter Laney was a bright spot in this super emotional story, because although her place in this story makes it extra sad, her character was awesome, adding extra sweetness and cuteness to an emotionally intense story line, and her realtionship with G. was absolutely precious.

There is a sense of mystery and intrigue to the story line as it is not completely straightforward. I was constantly waiting for another shoe to drop, which I think the author did a great job with. The author also did an amazing job at pulling at each and every heartstring and really developing a story where I think you can't help but really hate but also really feel for the bad guy, which I think takes a lot of talent. Just when you think everything is pretty black and white and you think you have a good understanding of the whole story, you're hit with a whole lot of shades of gray that make you question a lot....about everything. I would highly, highly recommend this story.

I only discovered Sarah Puckett in the last couple of months as a narrator, but let me tell you, she is THE BEST when it comes to stories with intense emotional story lines. She has such a way of making you feel EVERYTHING!!!! Highly, highly recommend anything with her as a narrator, but she excels at books like this one! #AudiobookObsessionReviewer
