About this listen
Minimalism is for rich people who live in big, empty, white homes, right? Wrong.
Minimalism isn't just about displaying your food staples in glass jars or having chic Scandi furniture. It can be a beautiful, enriching, and life-transforming practice that, at its core, is all about re-establishing what holds value in your life and letting go of what does not.
Simplify Your Life is about exactly that: bringing simplicity back into your life, and with it, joy in the everyday. Dispelling the myths that minimalism is for either hardcore environmentalists or the privileged few, this audiobook shows how minimalism is more relevant and necessary than ever, not least because it's the most accessible way to achieve a state of contentment in all aspects of life.

A great approach to life
A worthwhile life approach to minimalistic living. I've read a lot of books on minimalism and I've watched a lot of videos on it. Here the author goes very in-depth into simplifying your life. They take a look at your life as a whole instead of just one area. It's great that you can get rid of a ton of furniture and other items, but that's only the beginning. You have to look beyond just your material possessions to include everything that is non-material. Social media is not material, but it takes up a lot of your time and it brings a lot into your life. We spend a lot of time looking at social media and not realizing it's mostly marketing. It's all about how much can they learn about you and in sell to you. The author goes into great depths about the truth of social media and it's impact upon our lives. If you're looking to simplify your life this is a key area you can't pass on looking at. Minimalism is about shedding material possessions as well as emotional and mental weights we carry. These weights stick around long enough we call them possessions or see them as possessions. Listen to what the author has to say in this book and then take a look at your life as a whole not just one area. Listening to this book has me looking at relationships, social media, possessions, my job and society as a whole. We can do our part to downsize and live a present life without possessions. However, we have to look at society as a whole because the pressure will begin to revert back to where we were before downsizing. I've seen this in my own life and I'm seeing it in other people's lives where they don't have many possessions just to be pressured into getting more possessions. Take the advice to the author and put up a clear boundary! Listen to the information given in this book if they're apply it in your life. It will change the way you see things! Plus it will allow new things to come into your life which are even better! downsizing equals clutter clearing equals allowing new things to come in. It's a great equation to follow!
