 In Sienna and the Bushido School for Princes and Princesses , Sienna, a very shy girl, lives with her father, two younger brothers and elder sister. Their mother, has mysteriously disappeared in their old country of Viton, which is wracked in civil war. Two days before her eleventh birthday, she finds herself daydreaming in math class and something fantastical happens! She is transported back to her old home to fulfill her destiny. She meets a mysterious man named Ali Sharif in a cemetery. Ali Sharif tells Sienna that she is special: Her birth was fore-told by the ancient seers. Also, when she was an infant, The Dark Sorcerer, Vitor, attacked her older adopted sister in an attempt to kill Sienna and end the Prophecy. In the attacked, Sienna suffers a strange lightning-bolt scar on her hand. Ali Sharif also gifts her with a magical weapon. She grows up and meets a repugnant Halfling named Hook Shanks, who is also a Commander in the Dark Sorcerer's Army. She has been chosen to be a student at the Bushido School for Princes and Princesses. The leader is the renowned Gung Fu master, Fong Wrondel. She also meets the strange Groundskeeper named Herakles. To get to school, she rides upon a rare camel named Gunther, owned by Ali Sharif. At school, she meets another student who will become her very best friend: Helene Hypatia. Sienna is placed in Ravenfeather House at Bushido and quickly gets a reputation for honesty and reliability. She studies Judo with Master Fong, Riding with Professor Elspeth Equinos and Gung Fu with rotund Master Chongan. She is tasked with finding the reclusive elves and ends up clashing with the Dark Lord, Vitor, who seeks the legendary Silver Hand.
