Excellent for vocabulary and grammar practice
Would you listen to Short Stories in Portuguese again? Why?
This is the kind of book you should listen to many times over and discover that you understand a little bit more each time. It is perfect for learning basic vocabulary and grammar.
As the title says, the story is about daily morning routine. Honestly, it's not a fun story, but it takes you through a lot of useful vocabulary, from what it takes to get ready for work, driving in traffic, interacting with coworkers, having dinner at home, family time, and finally going back to bed. The first chapter tells this story in the present tense. Next, each chapter tells the same story in other verb tenses (past perfect, imperfect past, future, etc). This is a fantastic resource for someone who is fairly new to the language.
I also bought the paperback and kindle version, and found it helpful to read along and look up words.

Good practice for everyday vocabulary
I like the fact that this was the same story in all different tenses and aspects. The nouns and adjectives were accessible and the verb forms changing helped reinforce the vocabulary while also giving something new each time through. It’s not “great literature” but it is exactly what I expected And I found it very useful. I especially liked the questions after each section.

not short stories
this should not be called short stories. it is a useful tool for practicing listening skills in portugues by listening to the same routines in different tenses, but its nothing like a story. its drilling common vocubalarly by repeating common routines.

Great for keeping up your Advanced Portuguese
If you have learned Portuguese in the past and are simply trying to keep it up, this is a great audiobook.

NOT stories - Terribly repetitive and boring -
This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?
nobody, it is not what the title says at all. Very deceptive.
What could Irineu De Oliveira have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

Not short stories. lots of Portuguese questions
First, I much prefer having both the audio AND the pdf (some I can read while I listen), this is NOT available. Second the title is misleading, I WANT short stories this is not what the book has. It has lots of Portuguese phrases and questions. I want my money back.
