Der Frühling naht im idyllischen Brodersby: Landarzt Jan Storm bekämpft mit allen Mitteln die grassierende Grippewelle und treibt die Renovierung seines Hauses voran. Als sein Freund Jörg in Schwierigkeiten gerät, ist es mit der Ruhe schlagartig vorbei. Ida, die Tochter von Jörgs Freundin, wird erpresst. Der Kieler Polizist will den Täter zur Rede stellen, aber nach dem Treffen ist der Jugendliche tot und Jörg der Hauptverdächtige.

Der Landarzt beginnt, Nachforschungen anzustellen. Tatsächlich häufen sich an Idas Schule seltsame Vorfälle - und jemand aus Jans nächstem Umfeld scheint die Fäden zu ziehen und über jeden seiner Schritte informiert zu sein. Als ob das nicht reichen würde, geht auch noch seine Lebensgefährtin Lena auf Distanz und verhält sich merkwürdig. Kann Jan ihr noch trauen?

Okay, not great this time

The plot idea was clever. What was exasperating about this episode in the series was the it was fairly obvious who the hidden figure was and yet good guys seemed oblivious for such a long time. I still enjoy the characters and the series. The many chase scenes and attacks with weapons on the good guys seems over-the-top for drug dealers operating in a small town. I wouldn’t think there were so many criminals with guns in Germany as there are in the USA where I live.
