About this listen
Two enemies find themselves trapped together in an abandoned church on the far edge of Sherwood. Robin of Loxley and the Sheriff of Nottingham are both wounded, and without weapons, in the care of a hedge-priest. The ancient law of sanctuary means that no blood can be shed but emotions are running feverishly high.
Narrated by Barnaby Eaton-Jones. Starring: Michael Praed, Nickolas Grace, Andy Secombe, and Daniel Abineri.

Loved it
Great for fans of the series! I really enjoyed listening to familiar voices from the Robin of Sherwood television series. The story and the characters were just as I expected.

The Robin of Sherwood Christmas Special with Michael Praed
An audiobook with additional voices from Michael Praed, Nickolas Grace and Andy Secombe. A Christmas adventure that looks into the more dubious aspects of Robin’s outlaw activties. Great performances and dialogue.

Very entertaining for the fans of the show
The story is very short, so it’s not very complicated. The sheriff and a couple of his knights have accidentally met Robin at edge of Sherwood and are chasing him. They come across an abandoned church. Robin is wounded and falls through ice to the icy river.
He wakes up inside the church with a priest who seems more than a little odd. The priest rants that Robin is tainted by violence but offers him sanctuary at the church. But the sanctuary extends to everyone.
This was great, short adventure very much in the spirit of the show. I don’t know what people who haven’t seen the show would think, but as an old fan I was very pleased. It was great to hear the familiar voices and the audiobook even has the main theme!
The only thing I can complain about is that it’s too short, and I would have loved for the Sheriff and Robin confrontation to be longer. But otherwise, it’s very entertaining.
