About this listen
John Hilt's life may look perfect, but his problem is growing; he can't stop killing.
And his dead friend, Harry, absolutely loves it.
John, lost in this murderous obsession, doesn't see the world collapsing around him. Police officers Alan Tremock and Susan Merchent think they found their man and will do anything to take him down. They're connecting the dots, and realizing wherever John Hilt goes, people die.
Only one issue, though: Harry wants John to kill them, too. A life off the rails, John sees nothing but rain falling from the sky: Red Rain, drowning everything in the blood he spills.
A thrill-ride like no other! Go deep into the mind of a serial killer and pick up the second book in the Red Rain series today!

Impossible to not finish this series!
What did you love best about Red Rain: Lightning Strikes?
How the flow continued from Red Rain: Clouds Gathering, the suspense builds even more. The author writes very well, smooth transitions from past to present to add depth and character to the story. I appreciated that we spend more time with young John, including his time overseas and how events transpired with young Harry.
What other book might you compare Red Rain: Lightning Strikes to and why?
Certainly the first in the series - these are not stand-alone novels. That said, the storyline is so rich that it is near impossible to consider listening to one or two of the books without finishing the full series.
Have you listened to any of Charles Kahlenberg’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
I've heard this narrator in "Clouds Gathering" - I didn't like his voice so much to begin with...but it has grown on me and I am liking his narration of this second book in the series.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
The moments when Clara was discussed; her brutality and her daughter's ability to overcome it -- only to see it emerging in her own son.
Any additional comments?
I was provided this book by the author in return for a fair and honest review, which I have freely given. If I did not like this book I would absolutely state this openly. In truth, I love this well written series and cannot wait for the third book to be available from Audible.
