About this listen
In Reclaiming Church, J. J. Warren continues his call to reaffirm the Church be welcoming to all, including young people like those he led at Sarah Lawrence College who "didn't know God could love them because their churches said God didn't."
The book addresses three points of importance to young people looking to be part of a church community, and a call:
- The identity and nature of God
- The role of Scripture in discerning God's call
- The author's own experience of God, church, and identity
In the final chapter, "We Are the Church", Warren focuses on practical and positive steps for joining voices, being heard, building bridges, and working together for young people to reclaim Church in their lives.

From personal experiences in his ministry through comedy, Brad Stine has chosen 11 concepts to consider as a Christian. Are they really true, or do we just believe them to be credible - even though there's no biblical support for them? More importantly, how does the belief in their veracity affect non-believers if we're wrong? Brad has carefully considered these ideas, as well as lived many of them.

"We have to test everything. I thank God for anybody anywhere who is pointing people to the mysteries of God. But those people would all tell you to think long and hard about what they are saying and doing and creating. Test it. Probe it. Do that to this book. Don't swallow it uncritically. Think about it. Wrestle with it. Just because I'm a Christian and I'm trying to articulate a Christian worldview doesn't mean I've got it nailed. I'm contributing to the discussion. God has spoken, and the rest is commentary, right?" (Rob Bell)

Reaffirming, Hopeful!
this book really renewed my hope and sent me on a journey to find a church home again. I had given up because I became so disillusioned. he is a great narrator and backs up his points with research and theology. this is a must read not just for the lgbtq community, but for those who want to understand more and are struggling.
