About this listen
It is no easy thing, to give a person—any one person—the ability to rewrite the truth of power in this world. How could any one being hold in their hands the key to fate and not succumb to the inevitable corruption of such a thing?
Arthur Leywin's quest for the power he knows only as Fate becomes even more pressing as his most dangerous foes gain a terrible new power. When the war between the dragons of Epheotus and the basilisks of Alacrya erupts across Dicathen, the people Arthur cares about most find themselves trapped in a clash of deities. The only way to master Fate and protect them, though, is to place them directly in harm's way in the ultimate gambit.

Story
I never believed in the whole “light at the end of the tunnel” folly where people, after having a near-death experience, would startle awake in a cold sweat exclaiming, “I saw the light!” But there I was, in this so-called “tunnel” facing a glaring light, when the last thing I remembered was sleeping in my room - the royal bed-chamber, as others called it. Had I died? If so, how? King Grey once benefited from unrivaled strength, wealth, and prestige in a world governed by martial ability but now finds himself reborn in a society dominated by magic.

As Ayanokouji and his classmates begin their second year at the Advanced Nurturing High School, they're greeted by a fresh gauntlet of exams and a fresh batch of rather unique first-year students. They'll have to get to know each other quickly, because the first special exam pairs the first-years with the second-years on a written test--with only the second-years facing expulsion if their team performs poorly! Worse yet? It seems one of the new first-years is also from the White Room. Can Ayanokouji avoid expulsion while sussing out the identity of this hidden foe?

Another Great Entry
Fast paced and interesting. Travis Baldree did an amazing performance as always and although I don’t like that they switched to two narrators the second narrator was good as well.

Another gem in the TBATE series!
It's almost bittersweet that this series is about to come to an end, but what a crazy and it will be. Turtleme's world building and character development is incredible. Travis and Elizabeth portrayal of their respective characters are an exciting listen and fun addition to the audio books. I would however like to hear their voices in dialogue with each other rather than separating by chapter. who knows if that will happen in this last book, but I do enjoy how they're doing it this way. I cannot wait for the manhwa want to catch up and for the anime to come out!

different readers for different characters
I liked the different readers that switch between depending on the perspective. I've seen this in many other books and glad it started in this book series.

all great except one thing
love the story and performance, but I feel like the voice actors should communicate more? it just takes me out of it the some characters have an English accent when other member of their family don't. or that they have that accent when in earlier books they didn't. not sure if the VA is taking liberties with the performance, but it would be nice if it was more consistent. like why does ellie have an English accent when Arthur, Reynolds, and their mother don't?

So sad it is over…
I had to find a new series because the last no longer had the audio books. I will say that this started out slow, going through his childhood, school years, and his past life. All information is needed and I will be listening to this again: one because it is so good and two there is so much info I get lost at times. This is a great series, I have purchased all 11books and I’m so sad this is the last one, I am so excited for the anime adaptation that will be coming out. Congratulations to everyone who put so much work into this series. I have greatly enjoyed it, I have laughed, cried, and got angry with each one the characters that I have come to feel like friends and even empathising with some. Even in this world there are people going to war with other countries, hating people that are just people, doing what they are told and trying to live their life.
The performance of the two who read these books have done a great job. I cannot think of the names at the moment but the man who started with the books had a great voice, great variety of characters, and the woman who started with the last couple books also great job! Thank you for all the hard work and I can’t wait for the anime.
