Important for inclusivity and diversity

Learning more about this topic as a businessperson helps to understand how others should be addressed and treated. Regardless of what certain governments may mandate, treating other people with respect is a basic human right. I think this audiobook is something people should listen to.

A Useful Guide for a Complex Topic

During my military service I worked as an Equal Opportunity Leader, where I received a (very) broad overview on Intersectionality. Later, I attended a university where many of these ideas took shape within the student body. It can be difficult for older people (I'm a Gen X/Millenial) to grasp new concepts, and a guide like this is essential to have at least a working knowledge of potentially contentious topics. I think Pereira and The Learning Guru have done an outstanding job presenting the salient points without incorporating bias. The fact is, these topics are relevant to contemporary society for a reason, and understanding the terminology, the underlying beliefs, and how to operate in a respectful and dignified manner is crucial in any operating environment. This is an excellent resource for leaders, and a fine addition to any library,

Clear voice, strong message

I found this to be a thoughtful intro to gender and identity stuff. It’s short but covers the basics in a way that felt clear and respectful. There's some good advice for anyone who want to be more inclusive at work or in their community. I thought the narration worked well for this. Felt calm and easy to stay with.

Interested and adapted to today's reality

I am a teacher so reading about diversity and inclusivity is crucial these days at school. The use of pronouns can be very confusing, so having the tools to understand what's behind their use is very helpful when you are constantly interacting with kids and adults. I recommend giving it a try.

Finally, Clarity Without the Jargon

This book landed on my shelf after a friend insisted I’d “get it.” Skeptical at first (I’ve rolled my eyes at preachy guides before), I ended up skimming a chapter… then another. Suddenly, I was scribbling notes! It doesn’t lecture—it shows how tiny shifts in language can make people feel seen. I’ve already caught myself pausing mid-sentence to rethink assumptions, and at work, I finally understood why a colleague kept correcting me politely. Best part? It admits nobody’s perfect—even the author shares their own awkward slip-ups. Not a dry textbook, just real talk for humans who want to do better.
