The story centres around one Mr. Bennett, a henpecked English gentleman who lives in Herfortshire with his wife and five daughters. The issue, however, is that if Mr. Bennett dies then a distant cousin stands to inherit the house.
For the sake of security and prosperity of the family, a plan to marry away the daughters into rich families therefore comes into fruition. Soon a wealthy bachelor, Mr. Bingley, along with his friend, Mr. Darcy, moves into a house nearby, and the merry-go-round of courtship and marriage begins. This is a classic for all ages and a compulsory listen for anyone to lighten up their day.
