About this listen
There are more than 30 million slaves in the world today. Eighty percent are female, and half are children. This is Billie and Carmine's story.
Deceived into leaving Haiti and Cuba by Mr. and Mrs. Vega, Billie and Carmine are confronted with a harsh reality once on American soil. The teens realize they are sex workers for the Pricey Pussy Empire, and the couple who lured them to the US actually run their own division for the underground flesh-for-sale operation. Billie and Carmine will suffer through human indecency, cruel punishment, and sexual assault in hopes of breaking the chains of captivity.
When Billie is sold by the bitter wife of the man who slips into her bed at night, the twosome is faced with a huge dilemma. Will Billie be swept away in the dark of night by her new buyer, or will Carmine step in and help her with a plan that will win their freedom? But, what is freedom to the souls who continue to play in traffic?
Choices must be made, and those decisions may deal the priciest blows to their young lives. There is an expensive price tag attached to vengeance, and once it is theirs, they may just end up paying with their souls.
What does it take to survive in the world of human trafficking? A warrior's heart, a hunger for blood and revenge, and pure insanity. Witness the evolution of Billie Blue Blondie and Carmine Pallazolo.

Barbara was 12 when she was admitted to the psychiatric hospital Aston Hall in 1971. From a troubled home, she'd hoped she would find sanctuary there. But during her stay, Barbara was systematically drugged and abused by its head physician, Dr Kenneth Milner. Somehow, eventually, she started to campaign for answers. This is a shocking account of how vulnerable children were preyed upon by the doctor entrusted with their care.

Very Good
As I listen to this audible it was hard but very much true! Although written as a fiction the truth is it is very much so a reality! It got hard to listen to a times but I push through it because I need to see it to the other side! Our minds takes us in some many different directions and even when we free we can put ourselves inside our own mental prison! Human trafficking is disgusting but REAL

Human trafficking,Shaking my head at the horror of it all.
I can’t imagine losing a family member to this. I appreciated the authors candor about her research into this life. It unfathomable to know our world is so heartless and sleazy.
My heart goes out to the lost children of the world. This story was told in such a way you felt every characters hurt and pain.

I typically do not enjoy Mishi narrations but she handled this book well! It’s scary but crazy to know things like this actually happens. 😩 so sad. Carmine is a M F ‘n protector and Billy needed him to help keep her from going completely iffy he deep end. Good job author. Thx for sharing.

This may be a book of fiction however just imagine how many kids we see every day that are just like Billie and Carmine.
They are so hardened by the hand life was dealt to them. They didn’t have a choice.

This was the most difficult book that I have ever listened to that I absolutely knew I had to finish. The two MC had me stopping and starting several times. I cried, swore and yelled at them. But I needed to hear their story. I wish everyone would read this book. We all like to believe we would be different but can we ever really know?
