But… now let’s talk about the rest. This book is basically a mash-up of "sexy alien art class" and "whoops, I guess we’re soulmates now," but the pacing felt like someone pressed fast-forward and never looked back. Blink and boom—emotions! Blink again—spice! Blink one more time—HEA! It was a whirlwind, and not always in a good way.
Also, the trope? Yeah, I’ve been here before. It’s like ordering your usual at the romance café: comforting, familiar, but maybe it could’ve used a new twist or at least a surprising side dish.
TL;DR: Fun, fast, and fluffy with a fabulous plus-size heroine, but if you’ve read this trope once (or twelve times), don’t expect to be surprised. Still, worth a read for the body-positive vibes and general alien hottie shenanigans.
